Wow, handed Quebec its first loss of the playoffs, something Gatineau couldn’t do.
Unbelievable and unexpected resiliency in the 2nd period, that fluke corner goal to tie it then some power play action really got the boys going. Now we’re heading home!
The other series in the WHL and OHL are also tied up at 1 a piece.
Go Moose!!

Wow, what a rebound from the boys. After the first period I thought the herd looked deflated but boy was I wrong. They turned up the thermostat and came out with the will to win. It amazes me how this group can flick the switch and change the momentum of a game in an instance.
When I look at tonight's game I see a solid group effort. They slowly but surely chipped away until Quebec eventually started creating some turnovers and some open ice in the neutral zone, and that's not something you want to do when you have the hot sticks of Lawrence and doucet.
Any word on the mvp? What a boost for the morale of the herd it would be to get the league mvp back when you already know you have what it takes to compete and potentially win the series.
The moose looked absolutely fantastic for 40 minutes tonight. Let's hope they keep that going back in the 902 and take a stranglehold on the series. I feel like Quebec going 13 and 0 haven't had to face adversity yet and I feel like this could potentially be a huge momentum swing.
I wasn't able to secure lowerbowl tickets for either games 3 or 4 so unfortunately I'll be watching from the chl feed or tsn. I refuse to sit in the upperbowl. From my experience, people up there tend to drink and socialize more than watch the game and I want to pay attention to the moose!! This could be a long emotional series! Go moose go!!

First period looked a little rough. Halifax have had a couple stretches in games lately where they've taken awful penalties. That 2-1 goal at the end of the first was huge.
This team isn't like any I can remember seeing in the Q. How can you be both the feisty underdog and a team whose explosive offense can bring the best teams in the league down to earth so quickly?
I love when the defense sneaks into the play and gets goals. I've mentioned it before... nobody's concerned with the Moose defense scoring on them because of how little it happens. Such a good read by Furlong to jump into the play on that 3-2 goal. Brady Schultz's shot reminds me of Nico Hischier's. Not the hardest in the world, but it seems to fool goaltenders in weird places. Hope Moravec is ok, but that didn't look good at all. If his shoulder came out of socket, he's done for the year. Hope Whynot can stay in the lineup and contribute. He didn't look bad tonight considering the rust he must have.
Moose got the split they wanted. They frustrated Quebec in the 3rd period. We'll see if Quebec's resolve is better than Sherbrooke's.

As a side note: not sure if this was noticeable on TV but after Moravec got up when he was hurt, the Quebec crowd started booing him. I’m sorry but regardless of what the situation is - I don’t think any player, be it a Moose or a Rempart, should be booed when hurt…

On another note, there was a fight between Mooseheads and Remparts fans at the end of the game. It apparently started with words exchanged, a woman was hit and the fight started. Police was called.

Thanks for clarifying. I wasn’t looking at the replay/junbotron but was focused on Moravec. I didn’t know about the fight. Personally, I didn’t have any negative experiences and was wearing a mooseheads jersey.

This team is hilarious. I've never seen a team look so bad one minute, look overmatched, tired, and then literally minutes later look like a COMPLETELY different team. And make their opposition look completely different too. It's crazy.
The similarities to the Sherbrooke series, so far, are eerie. Handily defeated in Game 1, down and look defeated in game 2, both times losing 2-0 but something clicks and they turn the game around (ultimately the series vs Sherbrooke). They lost game 2 in the semis but their play after the 1st period shifted. Same as last night. And Doucet with identical goals is at the centre of it. A pass through 2 defenders and a redirection at the side of the net lol. It will be interesting to see how Quebec responds. Sherbrooke could never regroup.

I want to give a shout out to the Eastlink guys who have been doing a phenomenal job calling these away games off a monitor. I can't read the players numbers on the Moose half the time and they are calling the game real time for both sides. This is their last broadcast of the season as TSN takes over now. I'll chime in with thanks to the Eastlink crew as well - especially Mavs and Logan covering the Moose games. When you have broadcasters with their fingers on the pulse - it makes all the difference in the world. Their QMJHL coverage is second to none. We are pretty lucky between the Eastlink crew and Garreth on 95.7 - they definitely bring it with the energy and insights every night. If there is any way either the team or one of the broadcasters can bring in Stephen Davis on a full time/permanent basis after he graduates from college, they have to do it. As we move towards the national TSN broadcast for the rest of the finals - hope that we will see Kenzie on the mic to continue that local flavour!

Great game for the boys good bounce back win , was real happy with the young rookies Phillips , Martin , Peitzsche, they seem to be all in no steps back very poised , Peitzsche had a good game for a young player very good defensively, Martin was fantastic Threw a few big hits , the future is bright for the moose !!!!

Unbelievable!!! Just when I thought the Moose didn’t stand a chance, they pull out the big dubs!!! I have no idea how this series is going to play out but it’s going to be awesome!! Just beating the Remparts last night and ruining their streak feels so good.
Lawrence, Doucet, L’heureux, Cataford and even Boucher were outstanding. Forecheck, backcheck were relentless. Furlong too I thought was great. To go into that rink and play great hockey with 18000 fans cheering against you is simply outstanding.
Nice to see Whynot back. Hope he can stay in the lineup. Dumais must be close to coming back as well. What is old Patrick Roy going to do with Dumais returning to lineup. I think he will be up shit creek without a paddle.
To Charles point, some of these young guys are really stepping up. It’s almost a necessity if the Moose want to go the distance. Every shift they take and fend off the opponents is huge for our leaders!!
Can’t wait for Tuesday!!

Here's a sample of the quality production that Eastlink produces.

Was watching the highlights on the qmjhl YouTube channel and the highlights end after the Moose score their first goal to make it 2-1 at the end of the first.
The Q didn’t wanna show its precious baby gettin smacked around for 2 periods or what? Pretty odd to show all the highlights leading up to the Moose starting their comeback and then video over lol never witnessed that before.

Highlights are fixed now.
Josh Lawrence lost more faceoffs than he won last night, and Nathan Gaucher won 22 of 28. Wonder if they saw something in the video of Lawrence's faceoffs. Home ice should help him, but Gaucher is no slouch in the faceoffs department.
