The coaching staff is also probably the worst in franchise history the team looks disorganized, why are we playing the trap while trailing 2-0 Pretty sure this is the worst power play in franchise history. |

It was a terrible game to watch. Both teams looked like they did not want to be there. The D gave up way too many quality chances on Leaver. Forward not back helping in D zone. We had no flow to the game and yes our PP is terrible.

with 7 games in and 6 points it's a good thing we played Bathurst so many times or we may have zero points. Leaver looked good in some games but no better than average in most. I see now why Rimouski wasn't afraid to trade Gauthier, yes he can throw a hit but for an experienced D man he is caught up all the time. Is this what he was brought in to do?? The rest of this trip could be nasty if something doesn't click soon.

Some thoughts after watching that.
Definitely some coachable moments. The biggest problem with Elie so far is that he is struggling with playing C.
The Reynolds line and the Beveridge line were consistently good.
We seem to be using the wrong guys on the PP
I'd like to see:
Mateiko - Reynolds - Reinhart
Akkouche - Beveridge - Bellemare
Simek - Laforge - Elie
Benoit - Pierre-Noel - Beaulieu
up front next game before we consider making major changes. We should try:
Reinhart - Mateiko - Reynolds
Simek - Ianniello
Elie - Beveridge - Bellemare
Akkouche - Bilodeau
as PP units.

I totally agree. We need to do something on the PP as it is terrible right now.
Or was hard to watch last night with no play by play. My French is not very good!

I don’t like Reynolds up front on the PP his will to battle in the corners is not the best plus last year most of his goals was from the top left circle have him with Bilodeau on the point would probably help and have Simek Mateiko and Reinhart up front Some thoughts after watching that. The second goal for the Armada, Elie had the puck on his stick and tried to stick handle it out and lost it instead of just dumping it while on the PK.

I like that Gauthier makes some hits but would have to agree about getting caught up ice or just bad passes. I have seen some of our D just pass without looking or throw it away because they are going to get hit. We have lots of veterans on D and that should be our strength in my opinion. with 7 games in and 6 points it's a good thing we played Bathurst so many times or we may have zero points.
