The Eagles play their 1st of two games in Northern Québec tonight as they visit former Eagles defencemen Jérémy Langlois and F-J Buteau's Rouyn-Noranda Huskies before hopping on the bus and heading to Val-d'Or for a Sunday afternoon tilt vs the Foreurs.
The Eagles will be hoping to take advantage of a bit of a banged up Rouyn-Noranda team that'll be without the services of Daniil Bourash, F-J Buteau and Dyllan Gill to name a few.
Rouyn-Noranda (3-2-1-2) will be looking to rebound from a 5-2 loss to their rivals the Foreurs on Oct.9th
The Eagles come into tonight's game winners of 5 of their last 6 their latest victory coming on Oct.12th against the Gatineau Olympiques.
Eagles forward Olivier Houde will be looking to continue his momentum from that game where he scored a goal and added two assists.

Eagles finish their road trip this afternoon in Val-d'Or, hoping for better luck offensively today after absolutely peppering William Rousseau with 43 shots to unfortunately only result in two goals.

Milota gets the call in nets today. Hopefully the boys can get him some run support, Foreurs coming off a big loss to the Sea Dogs last night 5-1. I think it is important for the guys in the room to get these 2 points today and come home in a good mood, it's a long ride from Abitibi-Sydney

I hope they don't buy a single one year player at the trade deadline this year, it'd be a waste of an asset. This is a good not great team. I'd hope they target an impact 18 year old forward at the trade deadline if they do anything, though they're often pricey & lack availability in general.
VD is skating circles around them today, reminds me of 1st game of the season vs Moncton. The season is only 10 games in and 3 of those games were complete disasters.
Even if they come back to win this game this team has something that they need to fix and I can't quite pin point what it is. Perhaps lack of creative forward talent.

We've really already got our target 18 forward this season in Burbidge. Aside from him we've spent massive on Schmitt as another 18 is looking like a complete swing and a miss currently which makes me sad. I had really high hopes he would be our PP quarterback for the this couple year stretch and he's basically been invisible aside from a handful of games. I feel like this year has been marred by having one scoring line and 3 other lines of zero finishers. Really hurting us not having a secondary scoring unit. |

Milota 43 saves and an assist on the GWG. Regardless of how they got there im glad the guys in front got him a well deserved win.
I will also take a 4 point road trip through northern Quebec, would have liked to at least tie it last night to squeeze a 5th or 6th point but at the end of the day we are still hanging tough in the top half of the standings.

You very well could be right, I'm just assuming they are traveling by bus. The Quebec trips are scheduled differently now than in years past where they used to do one big long trip in the winter, I believe I heard on the radio it's now broken into three smaller trips. |
