I like our team now, We have the pieces I think to go on a Playoff run now. With the addition of Luke McPhee. our top 2 forward lines I've heard Mcphee-Cataford-Vidicek(Maybe Dumais when he returns) Kilfoil-Denis-Sprynar (You Could put Reynolds at Centre too) And so on, we have a solid defence core must of them with playoff experience now, Rooster in net I think anything can happen in the playoffs, don't forget in probably 2 weeks were getting Leveseque and Crosby back. I think we have more than 1 line that can score now. I can't wait till next Sat, maybe even the following Sat to see our entire lineup! I’d put the odds at a 2% chance that macphee plays first line MacPhee won't be anywhere near the top 6

Regular Season Lines With Dumais
Cataford | Vidicek | Dumais Kilfoil | Reynolds | Crosby Levesque | Denis | Sprynar Todd | MacPhee | Moser/Fontaine/McPhee
Regular Season Lines Without Dumais
Kilfoil | Vidicek | Cataford Levesque | Reynolds | Sprynar MacPhee | Denis | Crosby Moser | Todd | Fontaine/McPhee
Honestly not sure about playoff lines yet until we got a good understanding of each players role.

As much as I like and miss watching the kid. I don't expect Lou Levesque elevates straight to top 6 when he returns. Not now with the additional players. 3 guys added since his injury that all get in those top 6 spots.
Which isn't a bad thing. When season started the Mooseheads were challenged to create enough offense to make 2 for sure lines and it gave Lou that chance to impress.
I like the options for 2 good PP units now.

I like the fact that Denis had 7 body checks he brings a little of what Beachamin (spelling wrong )brought to us when we picked him up a few years back but only more offence as well !

Regarding the PP, do you go??? 1st unit: Shultz/Dumais on D and Cat/Vid/Reynolds up front? 2nd unit should have 2 D-men for when the PP ends with no goal: Furlong/Moravec with Denis/Kilfoil/Sprynar up front?

Denis and MacPhee could bring a very solid checking line to the table, with a solid winger like Kilfoil or Levesque on the wing. Denis already looks to have a lot of determination in his game, a lot more than Reynolds did in his first few games. I’m excited to see everything gell together over the coming weeks and hopefully we can run a little win streak again.

Regular Season Lines With Dumais Cataford | Vidicek | Dumais Kilfoil | Reynolds | Crosby Levesque | Denis | Sprynar Todd | MacPhee | Moser/Fontaine/McPhee Regular Season Lines Without Dumais Kilfoil | Vidicek | Cataford Levesque | Reynolds | Sprynar MacPhee | Denis | Crosby Moser | Todd | Fontaine/McPhee Honestly not sure about playoff lines yet until we got a good understanding of each players role. My feeling would be to load up the first two lines with Dumais back: Cataford | Vidicek | Dumais Denis| Reynolds | Sprynar Levesque | Kilfoil| Crosby There are 5 forwards in the top 9 listed as centremen and we all know Cataford is the most complete winger on the team when he plays there. Denis or Reynolds will have to play wing, in this scenario. Sprynar is more of a proven commodity than Crosby. While Crosby had a good start this season it's hard to argue keeping a former 23 goal scorer farther down the lineup, especially when Crosby will need some time to get his legs under him for real time game action.

I think it would only be in special circumstances where MacPhee is on line 3 and bumps someone...like late in a tight game with Halifax up 1 or 2 goals, or if someone had a misconduct.

That’s fair too! In the short period Kilfoil and Crosby played together they had some sweet chemistry, Levesque being on the left really brings the energy too, I feel you need some grit on that line though to at least have some edge other then just offensive production. Those lines at least gives Kilfoil some practice in the center spot and work on his faceoffs, but by playoffs I think he shifts back to the wing.

I actually don't mind those lines hopefully with Dumais back but who knows. But I think with the addition of Denis, Sprynar and Reynolds and we all know Catty and Viddy can score. (And once Levesque and Crosby are back); I think we'll be okay even if he doesn't come back and I think most if not all our D have playoff experience now and with Rooster in net, anything can happen in the playoffs and the Simon's promised us we are going on another run.
