Can anyone explain how the Mooseheads get out shot so often? We are supposed to be a top team in the league but they struggle to out shoot opponents regularly. On the bright side they do out score them most games lol. Other contenders regularly put up 30 shots often times over 40, while the Moose struggle to outshoot bottom tier teams. I suppose they wait for high danger chances? Even if that is the case, Dumais is the one that usually generates these high danger chances, they NEED to put more pucks on net, especially while he is out.

I’m super disappointed to come on here and no one brings up 2 games in a row against Quebec that Furlong coughs up the puck, to start a 2 on Oh for the winner.
Bright side Sprynar looks sooo much better than Ponzetto. I’m surprised he only has 5 goals this season. He looks really confident with the puck and seems to have a pretty good shot. He’s going to be fun to watch the next few seasons.
I know the main person everyone is missing is Dumais but I think one of Crosby or Levesque needs to get better asap. Kilfoil just isn’t ready for the minutes he’s getting. Don’t get me wrong he’s good just he’s not ready yet. He got bumped of Cataford and Vidicek’s line. Denis was thrown with them and I think it will work but Denis seemed just a little out of sink. He needs some time with them. Reynolds and Sprynar looked good together IMO. Add either Crosby or Levesque and that could be an interesting line.
I might have missed someone else saying this but 0/5 on the PP against the last place team in the conference is just not acceptable.

Just uninspired effort. Happening way too often and that is coaching in my opinion. And not to slag him, but how is Braeden MacPhee on your PP2?

I will say, Sprynar looked like he wanted to be a Moosehead tonight. He was one of the few you can say that for tho.

Last year I brought this same thing up and no one really agreed with me. This is not the first time, second time or third time that Furlong has cost us a game. Look, he is a great defenceman but I do not think he thrives well under pressure. He is the complete opposite. He has cost us too many games and for that reason, I blame the coaches for putting him in these situations knowing he has a tendency to choke. Some players just have a knack for rising to the occasion. Furlong simply does not. Just because he wears the 'C' does not mean he needs to be the guy. Painful to watch.

what's that old saying? "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
If the effort level isn't there, that's on the coach. It's his/her job to get them going.

Is someone going to start a fire midgley thread? I wouldnt say that Midgley is on the firing track but you need to think is he a head coach or not. Some guys are great Assistant coaches but cant make the transition. It might be something to watch for but I think he will be given a pass for a while considering he was Cams guy. As for the Moose, its funny that when Larmond came and didnt pick up a goal everyone was ready to send him packing, whats everyone saying about Reynolds right now? Denis and Sprynar have made a difference to this team and you notice them. Reynolds is out for a skate the last few games. This team when they turn it on can dominate teams, if you look at the last 5 min of the game we played a lot better but they seem to wait till it is needed. Also if they are going to put Denis in front of the net shoot the puck from the point, We have some great D and they will not shot. Last thing I want to say is its time to change the powerplay, they have been brutal, they are missing Dumais as a Quarterback on the powerplay I understand but this is an chance to change things up as no one is foing to replace Dumais playmaking ability. I hope they turn things around today.

I don't disagree Midge needs to go; but guys they've had a week of practice with the new guys and 2 games (Denis and Sprynar) give them a few games to gel teams usually look a bit disorganized the first few games after the trade period. Rooster was good as usual last night, none of the goals were his fault. It wasn't great officiating but can't always blame them and I'm not the only one who said that. The Mooseheads better be on their A game today or they can say bye bye to 1st place in the division.
