Everytime I try to participate in one of those polls on our website I always get the "You have already participated in this" message. Clearing cookies and temp files and such does not fix the problem. Doesn't matter if I try from work or at home I still get same message.
Anyone else getting this problem?

You have already voted in this poll.

Lovely. I got that with last week's poll too and just figured I had voted already and forgot I had done so. Now we know it's just another example of ineptitude. Come on guys! You don't release anything to the public until you are sure it is ready. The damn website polls. Test it first! The announcer! Make them do a trial run first! The anthem singer! How many examples do you need? Someone needs to get hit by the damn clue-bus, pronto!

They are aware of the issue, and are looking into it with the webmaster. I believe it could be caused by the upgrades that are coming to the site.

Disable polls then until it is fixed. Simple. Pretty dumb to keep pumping out poll questions when you know nobody can actually vote!

I didn't make myself clear. They weren't aware of it until this afternoon after I sent an email. They are looking into it, but assume it has something to do with the webmaster upgrading the site.

Okay and as I said previously then, you shouldn't make a new poll without testing it first. Had they done that they'd have been aware of the error and could have removed it until the error was fixed. Then I wouldn't be posting this stupidity, and you wouldn't have had to inform them of it.

Come on now Leask ... the Sea Dogs front office testing something out first ... in your dreams!! Maybe I'm just having a shitty day but I don't think so. I'm fed up with the team I support being run in certain areas like amateur hour. Really. You don't need experience in the damn business or an education really to figure out before you do something, you test it, train it, practice it, whatever, to make sure it works, is ready, etc. Will mistakes happen? Sure. But you'd damn well think after similar ones have already happened they wouldn't keep occuring. A lot of it isn't the Sea Dogs office. It's Harbour Station too. You'd think this city and that rink never had hockey in it before at times. I'm done shrugging shit off and saying "Oh that's just Harbour Station/Sea Dogs." It's at the point where I expect this crap to happen but that doesn't mean anyone has to accept it.

Give them a break! They're only concerned about one thing...the bottom line!

Give them a break! They're only concerned about one thing...the bottom line! Less reason to give them a break really. They should also care about the fans, which also impacts the bottom line. They go on and on about giving an entertaining and winning product which will bring back fans they lost and create new ones. Then on the first exhibition game you're greeted by an announcer that is completely horrid and can't even manage very basic French. Good first impression to someone who decided to give the team a shot this year and attend the first exhibition game to check it all out. Crap like that says, "We run a second rate production here."
