Any chance these 2 show up??
I assume Danis-Pepin is a definite no at 20. But Jimmy and Tommy could possibly be like Sill?
I'm asking if anybody heard anything on them.
Even if they don't show I'm still glad to see Moncton taking a chance on them. If we can get one impact player out of every five picks that we use on them I think its worth it. Given that we not take them in the first round. After 1st I'm all for it. Specially when we have a lot of picks in early rounds like this year.
As of right now for next year, we seem to have kinda the same number of picks as this year. It will be interresting to see what happens this year in terms of trades.
I don't think BC 1st is going anywhere. Or any of the Four first round rank picks (Gormley,LBD,Bissonnette, Cisse). What I can see happening, though is trading away other 16YO to other teams in return of decent 19YO fowards or other picks.
If we use the age rule for a team we need another 19YO
7-- 16-17YO 7-- 18YO 7-- 19YO 3-- 20YO 24 players total

I'm really glad the way that Flynn was able to get decent value for the trades he made. I can see him acquiring a top prospect to put Moncton as a contender for the division. Here's what moncton has for draft picks for upcoming years.
2009 1st round Baie-Comeau from Baie-Comeau for Matt Marquardt 1st round Moncton 2nd round Moncton 3rd round Moncton 4th round Montreal from Cape Breton for Murdock MacLellan 4th round Quebec from Quebec for Charlie Lavigne 4th round Moncton 5th round Moncton x6th round Moncton Gone to Halifax for 44th pick in Euro draft 2008 7th round Chicoutimi from Chicoutimi for 8th round draft pick in 2008 7th round Moncton 8th round Shawinigan 8th round Moncton 9th round Moncton 10th round Moncton 11th round Moncton 12th round Moncton
2010 1st round Moncton 2th round Victoriaville from Victoriaville for Alexi Pianosi 2nd round Moncton 3rd round Moncton 4th round Moncton 5th round Victoriaville from Victoriaville for Alexi Pianosi 5th round Moncton 6th round Moncton 7th round Moncton 8th round Chicoutimi from chicoutimi for 65th pick in euro draft 8th round Moncton 9th round Moncton 10th round Moncton 11th round Moncton 12th round Moncton
2011 untouched

I really like that he has stockpiled draft picks. They had 4 extra top 5 picks this year and another 5 the next 2 years. With the way they are tightening up on FA's teams will really need to build via the draft.

Does anyone know what has to happen for the picks to be upgraded to 2009? I assume its in Moncton favor (meaning if Victoriaville are in the bottom this year they would be upgraded.

The big number of picks becomes increasingly important if they decide to also cut out the import draft.
I think the trades where a team gives up 7 players for 1 will be history (Marchand for Gilbert + 2nd 2008 + 2nd 2008 Rim + 2nd 2009 + 3rd 2009 + 1st 2011 + 1st 2012).

Hayes will not be in Moncton...now that he is NHL-drafted, he'd be sent to the Marlies if there were any college-related problems...

Hayes hasn't proved anything to be consider heading to the AHL at this point if he leaves Boston College this season. He would most likely go to Moncton if he leaves BC.

Lets say for example he does show for Moncton. How big would his impact be on the team? What kind of production could this player have in the Q with an stacked defense???

He is pretty comprable to Pineault, big guy with some skills. I think you'd get close to 1 PPGM(55-60 pts) right away, then over 1 PPGM the 2nd year if he was to play 2.
