If Brannon and Sill do stay together on a line, who do you think will be their new linemate? Lessard, Roski, Petterson, Brenton, others?

Lessard would be the obvious choice if he is not dealt as rumored. I think Roski and Petterson could be strong options also as plan B. I can't see Brenton starting the year on the roster with Roski, Bissonnette, Petterson, Fomin coming in.

What is the latest on Fomin? Is he expected to arrive any day (you can usually figure a rough time line if it is legitimate visa troubles), or is visa problems code for "a better offer back home has come along and now I am not coming"?

I'd say either Roski or Lessard. Both can play gritty, but both could contribute offensively.

I like the way Roski plays. I'd give him a shot with Brannon & Sill.

Maybe Noseworthy, assuming he makes the team.

I like putting a true finisher and play maker on with Julien Tremblay. I think this line could be a producer rather than just a checking line.

I'd also think of giving Matt Brown a shot on the wing with Sill & Brannon. He's good in his own zone, might worth a shot. Brown seems to be a good 2 way player. I think they'll use Lessard when he's healthy.

Brown needs to be on an offensive line. He is responsible defensively but too talented offensively to go on a defensive-minded line.

OK its probably what Petterson was signed for as I don't remember him standing out offensively, but sooner or later I'd like to see a Wildcat line that is a legitimate scoring threat. Sills and Brannon had some of the best scoring chances last year but didn't finish. Brannon is liable to miss the net shooting form the goal line ;D. Maybe the answer is to pair Sills and Bannon with two different forwards depending on whether they are being used in an offensive role or defensive role. I hope Flynn is trying to free up Sills as he is probably capable of playing a much bigger offensive role.

The problem is Sill is pretty stiff offensively, he doesn't see the ice well or have particularly good hands, if you put a guy like Brown with him, you limit his offense. Sill gets points off mostly garbage goals and shots on net that get tipped or rebounds put in, Brown needs a Karl Gagne type to feed him, I think that could be MacAusland and/or Fomin.

I didn't think the MacAusland-Brown duo worked very well last year, but the year older might make a difference. I'd like to see MacAusland paired with two larger players not unlike what is done with Eagles and Marchand in the past. Brown I'd like to experiment with others to maximize his potential. It would be very dissapointing to see rehashed stale lines that didn't work last year. I'd like to see early juggling to try for some chemistry.

Bissonnette could become that player later this year or next year but not yet. The guy can pass the puck.
