If we suddenly have too many players ... I'd rather deal away Biduke to make room ... and look at cutting a guy like Tremblay who hasn't impressed. Biduke has been a disappointment for me so far this year ... I think the decision to not have a 20 YO battle in training camp was a poor one ... as he hasn't shown enough effort for my liking. I don't expect much in a trade ... maybe not even tradeable ... but what he brings seems to be redundant this year ... and we don't even have Sill, Brown and Cameron in the mix yet. Not physical enough ... not giving a strong effort ... only pretends to drop the gloves when the situation arises ... he lacks heart. I find he has quickly become expendable. Tremblay has shown to be soft ... the least impressive of all of the rookies we have kept. Petterson, Bissonette, Roski have all shown better and earned additional icetime. Tremblay isn't earning anything. Huh? Biduke a disapointment? He has 3 points in 2 games and he showed up in camp faster and 10lbs lighter. I have been impressed with his game, though he's been a bit snakebitten in terms of goals so far.

His skating has gotten 20 times better and he was playing great until he got hurt. How could he NOT be tradeable?

His assists have all been passenger assists ... not him doing the work. It doesn't matter that he is "faster" and 10 pounds lighter if he is only giving a half effort. I expect more out of a 20 YO ... much stronger work ethic ... he works as hard as Marquardt did.

Being lighter and faster makes a big difference, last year his skating was his big drawback and this year it's not an issue. Wether they were passenger assists or not if he puts up 60-70 points I'll be happy, I'm not expecting a Phil Dupuis type season from Biduke 30-30-60 is more than ok.

Flynn isn't stupid ... and he will expect more from Biduke (effort wise) ... otherwise he will give the icetime to the younger guys that have shown they can play offensively. He doesn't reward lazy play ... if he had other players that could score last year Marquardt would have sat on the bench.

Since you are not Flynn and you are the only one who thinks Biduke is lacking effort, I don't think it's a problem. Flynn didn't even bring Eastman to camp and he had Biduke on the 1st line before getting hurt, so obviously he likes his skill and his effort. Again, I'm not sure what you're watching, I find Biduke is working hard but he's been a bit snakebitten in terms of putting the puck in the net but he has a bunch of assists including 3 in 2 regular season games.

I think his wrist has been bothering since early in camp, which probably is some degree of explanation for the lack of goals ... I like what I see from him so far this year, but it is very limited viewing. I see where SteveUL is coming from as I would agree if we end up with the same type of player we had last year ... too soon to tell IMO.

I'm not concerned with his lack of goals ... just his lack of effort. I think he hurt his wrist when he fell on the back of the net vs SJ ... so it wasn't bthering him before that.

I think you'll see a few guys have their ice time cut in 1/2 during next few games. Cats still have Sill & Biduke hurt. Cats will have Cameron(Assigned back to JR today) and Brown back in lineup on the weekend. So that means they'll have 1 extra forward if Biduke is still out of the lineup, I think the odd man out will be Lane or Tremblay.
Lines I'd like to see for the weekend.
Eagles - Cameron - Famin Stephens - Brown - Bissonnette Lessard - MacAusland - Brannon Roski - Pettersson - Lane/Tremblay

Biduke is only day to day so he should play this coming weekend.
I can't see Bissonnette on the 2nd line, he'll play on the 4th and maybe some spot PP duty, he needs to work on his defensive play before you can trust him in the top 3 lines.

I know it's tough to put a 16 yr old on 2nd line, he's gotta learn at some point, I think he'd be a better fit then for example Pettersson, I love Bissonnette's vision and passing.

If his wrist is still bothering him, Flynn may opt to sit him out for another game. After all, his track record so far is to play safe with injuries.
