For sure we are seeing (or in this case hearing) some great hockey this year.

Nice win by Moncton Could of gone either way Thanks! Like you said though it could have gone either way especially when it gets to the shootout. Quebec has a very good team and looked extremely dangerous at times. It seemed like whenever Quebec started to pour it on the Cats would stop the momentum with a couple good shifts of their own. It went back and forth like that for most of the night which made for a very exciting hockey game.

Great game....picked a good one to finally pay for....I think I'll be buying tomorrow night's as well......what a great time to be a cats fan It sure is a great time to be a Cats fan because not only are we winning but we've seen quite a few very good games. While it seems like the rest of the fans on this board have been whining and complaining about the Q this season we've been treated to some great hockey.

So, as the team continues to prove themselves game in and game out as an upper echelon team, the question should be asked... do they make a couple of trades to bolster the roster and attempt to make a run? Or do they rest on their laurels and attempt to go as far as possible with the team as it stands now (more or less)?
Last year many fans in the region felt that Bathurst would've been well advised to perhaps make a run centered around Mathieu Perrault... should the Cats now attempt this feat with Riopel as their centerpiece?
Perhaps too early to think about... but with the team still undefeated in regulation and the trade deadline a little over a month away... that question becomes a bit more debateable, IMO.

How many NHL drafted players does it take to beat the "rebuilding" wildcats team ;D By rebuilding are you talking about players who went there for cash? Another Radoter-ish comment. But it is funny coming from a remparts fan , so... how was Tessier worth ;D Regarding the rebuilding.... Quebec never rebuild... they had decent team every year. The difference between the two is Moncton's big year should be next year and the year after. Quebec probably will not be in the thick of things next year. Unless Roy convince Kugryshev $$$$ not to go AHL

Well I guess eventually could lose a game by beating themselves rather then the opposing team doing it. I'm guessing that's what you're insinuating?

My feeling on this is that you stay with what got you this far this year and see what happens. No matter how far we get in the playoffs it is all good learning experience for next year. We have the makings of very good teams for at least 2 years here now and good draft choices for a couple of years so do not fool with it. If we win it all so much the better but I like the Gatineau model of good teams almost every year and take the championships when you get them.

Well all i can say is wow, that was a nail biter but they did it and that is all that matters, i have been reading quite a bit of the posts concerning last nights game. It doesn't matter what happens from here on, this weekend to anyone who lives in Moncton or is a huge cats fan. The bottom line for anyone like myself is "we won against quebec".
