STEAL... This kid is going to be dynamite...he is 5'08 142 but what till you folks see him play. He is great around the net, has offensive upside, top end skater and he likes the rough stuff. Any reason he fell so far? And what's the deal with Saab? He played Jr A in Halifax, is he ready to make the jump? Well im not sure if id say Parker fell...he wasnt ranked very high by CSR but ive had him high on my list for the majority of the season. I think most teams were scared off by his size and past history of injuries. Saab is QMJHL ready. He is a safe bet to play in the league but his upside isnt that high. Likely a 5th dman, 4th max...but he plays a solid simple game and doesnt mind being physical. Low risk pick.

thoughts on the goalie we picked? He was the 8th goalie selected in the draft (then there was our late round goalie too)
It seemed strange to me that we had few picks yet traded our 3rd rd pick away for later picks (not even an early pick next year.....more picks doesn't mean more help for the team....one would think a 3rd rd pick would have more impact), and selecting a guy ranked in rd 4 with our 2nd rd pick is a bit puzzling too. So it's like we didn't draft any highly ranked kids? I know it's not always these kids that would actually be the best but still....
Also, apparently no deal(s) for our overagers yet. What happened to the rumor of Lavigueur to Vic? Is there also an August trading period where anyone can be traded?

You guys made some good picks, Jodoin is worthy of a 2nd rd selection, Veronneau is a very good goalie and Parker is a steal...all 3 of those kids were under ranked in my opinion and obviously your scouts agree. Plus when your first pick is in the late 2nd rd, its hard to select "highly ranked kids"

What do think of Kennedy going 27th overall, do you think Cape Breton should have made a deal to try and get him!!! With Delmas gone he will be a good fit in Lewiston.

I think Kennedy was severly under ranked, he was in my opinion the 2nd best goalie in the draft...he is big, athletic, raw, great glove hand, hes a great kid too...he is going to improve drastically once he has a goalie coach. Im not sure if CB wanted to take a goalie that early...Jodoin was a good pick in rd 2.
