Plus if this team is in the basement at Christmas, expect Cam to deal off guys like Knotek and maybe Amyot.

It's not a black and white thing with rookies in terms of increasing production or "hitting the wall". Ones that usually increase 2nd half don't usually play a ton early on so they don't get worn down as much. Sometimes an injury will indirectly help if the kid is out 4-5 weeks. I think that happened with Perreault where he missed 3-4 weeks and he then finished strong.
I find the rookies that get worn down are from MAAA and they usually jump right to a top 6 forward(or top 4 on defense or a goalie that starts 60%+) and play a lot in the 1st half like Cameron did his rookie year.

The polls are closed ... thanks for voting and contributing. 50% say more than 20 wins, 30 % say less than 20, and 20% say 20 wins on the nose.

maybe 5 would be a better estimate. As long as we get 4, then we won't tie London's 3 win season from 1996 or 1997.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Moose finish with around 20-23 wins. Hopefully it would be enough to make the playoffs; but I'd rather you miss the playoffs for a chance to pick first or second in the draft. Hopefully though this year is not a total disaster

Hopefully though this year is not a total disaster Thats a lot of wins to get, considering we've managed 1 so far lol. The year wont be a total disaster as long as the team keeps playing its youth and putting up great efforts like it has been. An enjoyable team to watch, even without losses, "rewarded" by getting two top 3 at worst picks (midget, euro). By February though, losing will be taking its toll. But at least there is promise in the years ahead.

The trading of Cheremetiev clearing indicates that Amyot, Brunet, Bahm and Knotek are likely to be traded at the break in December, the pickup of Dimitruk off waivers which allows us to trade Amyot has to be a great move by Russell who continues to make value moves like this, also I heard that we could possibly land the two top scorers in the June draft upcoming which would go along way to addressing our lack of offence, it would appear that Dimitruk and Grant would be the only 2 overagers next year from our current squad

You might be able to move Amyot and Knotek.... Brunet possibly.. but nobody will want Linden Bahm

If Bahm isn't on the team in January, it won't be due to trade, it'll be because they released him to make more icetime available to younger players. Even Brunet would be a hard sell. It would have to be a team who has open spots available, that doesn't want to pay a big price for a top pairing guy, and are just looking for an experienced steady defenceman. Maybe a team like Saint John..... only they need a top end defenceman.... so unless they trade for a 19 year old, I don't see Brunet filling their needs.
