If I was a Halifax fan, I'd just associate those lettered jerseys with kind of a dark era. First the playoff collapse of 2008. Then the awful season that was 08-09. Certain uniforms, you just associate with bad times. Like the "Captain Highliner" NY Islanders jerseys from the mid 90s.

Those Cap't Highliner/Fisherman's Friend uni's were nasty. Almost as bad as Boston's third ... the Gravy Stain.

I think the scripted "Halifax" jerseys were well liked here. Personally I liked them and am glad they plan on bringing them back. However you are right Deer, we've had some less then enjoyable times in those jerseys. Thanks for reminding us!!!

I liked the black Halifax jerseys last year much better than these new ones

To me, there's just no history or character at all in those black and white Halifax jerseys. I know that's true of any new uni at first, but it's been a year and a half now and really no history worth remembering has been established in those jerseys at all.
But it's true a change of some sort was needed from the "Christmas tree" ones they'd been using since inception in 1994.

I really like the CB uniforms. IMo the shoulder patch they had of just an eagles head would have been an awesome front logo. I liked the 10th anniversary patch as well and it would have made a nice front minus the 10th anniversary on it. farm1.static.flickr.com/142/324440662_5a65dc7e02.jpg?v=0
