Boudreau seems like he could be ready for the next step, not sure about Bishop given his struggles in MAAA.

It sounds like the right thing to do to me, this season is pretty much a year long training camp anyway so why not have a look at these guys. If Bishop really is struggling in MAAA it will give him a good idea of what needs to be done if he expects to make the team next year.

Even if Knotek isnt traded, there is the chance that a guy like Stoddard may be released...I think that has more to do with how well Boudreau plays though. if he comes in and plays well it will force Cam to keep him around. If he looks over matched it is an easy decision to send him back to St-Eustache.

Bety could also be traded depending on the possible return.

Bety could also be traded depending on the possible return. I dont see Bety getting much interest really. I could see Bety getting decent interest for his role. He won't get big return or anything but he'd be a good guy for most teams 3rd line, plays physical/forechecks, is good defensively, will stick up for teammates/seems like a good team guy... he's a safe guy to trade for. And for a contender going for it this year he'd likely be a good 20 year old to have around next year... or he sticks around and would be a good 20 year old for the Moose. That being said I could see Russell doing something with Stoddard before moving Bety in a trade he doesn't feel really favours the Moose. I say that because the return won't be big and he's now playing with Desjardins and Bernard who are two important guys for the future and haven't had great seasons... though they have both taken a turn for the better and are playing well with Bety. Maybe Boudreau could replace Bety on that line and seeing how he plays may determine if Bety is a guy they'll move. Where I could see him being an important guy in a trade is, for example, with PEI (or a team with a similar make up) who may look for a highend player in Knotek to improve their top two lines but could also really use a guy like Bety to round out their 3rd line. That being said Knotek and Bety are our 1-2 centres and the Moose would likely need a good young centre coming back this way... hmmm Anyways, in general, good news about Boudreau as it's kind of a win/win with him getting a look. If he plays well or Russell finds the right deal for Knotek he'll stick around/they'll make a spot for him. But if he stumbles or another young centre gets added in a trade they wouldn't feel bad about sending him back down to AAA. Gives them good options there. Good to hear Bishop is coming up as well but it's not so much win/win and they're sort of forced into trying to give him a change of scenery and get him going. I'm also not crazy about being back to but it may open up trade options at Christmas.

....in no particular order I would love to see Stoddard, Baum and Metcalfe gone. Dress Bishop every game and when he makes mistakes, just suck it up and let him learn. Boudreau should have made this team in September, so I can see him sticking for the rest of the Season if they do clear some of the deadwood.

I'm a big fan of bringing up a young player for a couple of games to show him where he needs to get to, to become a regular the following season. If he shows enough to stay, all the better. Boudreau and Andrews as your top two centers going forward looks pretty good to me. Once the deadwood hopefully is gone at xmas, you can start to see what your team is going to look like next season. Big #1 goalie, a couple of good young D and 2 good prospects at center. That's a heck of a good start
