Good find Greatest.... here's hoping Pardy plays in the show this year. What an inspiration for late bloomers everywhere.

I was at the game last night. Pardy was terrible. Multiple giveaways. Kind of disappointing because i've heard nothing but good things about his performance in Omaha last year. ONly one game though. I'm going again Saturday against the Oilers. I'll let you know how both of them do. Flames have Erickson, Phaneuf, Regher, Warrener, Aucoin, Sarich, and Hale. That's 7 right there that will be on the roster. That leaves 1 potential spot due to the departure of Giordano and Regher Jr. Rumour around Calgary is it is Ramholt's to lose (although he didn't fare any better last night). Ramholt is the more polished of the two and more likely to bolt (back to Switzerland) if not given a chance soon.
On a side note, Adrian Aucoin is godawful! What a waste of 4 million dollars. Before the departure of Giordano and Regher Jr., we had 4 NHL ready defencemen and they go and trade for this garbage. Aucoin is no better than the above mentioned players(he's washed up and out of gas), at 4 times the price. Trading for Aucoin assured us of likely losing both Huselius and Langkow given Kipper and Phaneuf will be resigned.

From what I can tell (by playing catchup) Ramholt has a brutual game against Flordia. However everything else I've read about his training camp has been steallar.
Pardy's size is impressive and he's making a name for himself. However, Pardy like Ramholt had a bad game against the Panthers.
Can't chalk up one game like this to anything though. Let's see how it plays out.

also of note, Tim Ramholt was sent down to Quad City by the Flames, however Pardy is still in camp. Thought this chart was interesting:

Why is Pardy's name in white?
It's a good sign if he's one of only 8 D left in camp! It looks like he'll start the year in Calgary or at least be the first guy called up during the season if there's an injury.

You know I'm not sure. Possibly wasn't expected to make the team at all?

List is pretty out of a date. Goalie battle is over in Calgary. Krahn is injured and is only still in Calgary to get medical treatment. Kipper is the starter, McElhinney is the backup.

Pardy played great last night. Was paired with Anders Ericksson. I think he may have punched his ticket if the Flames are planning on keeping 8 D.

I've been reading that Pardy had an amazing game against the Oil. Hopefully he keeps up the good work.
On a side note, does anymore remember what number Pardy wore here? I think it was 2, but I can't quite recall.
