We will face a battle that we must win. The Halifax Mooseheads are waiting their opponent. This challenge is sudden death once it begins will be over in seconds.
Halifax versus Baie Comeau or Lewiston in a coin toss for 1st overall at the Midget draft.
Thats more important now... well not really 2nd be nice if its Drakkar so they can pick their defenceman.

When is the coin toss taking place ? At the draft? April 1, most likely at Q headquarters

Courteau ( to Mooseheads)- "Okay Mooseheads here is how it will go, tails BC or Lewiston wins, heads you lose."
The conspiracy theorist in me thinks we will lose the toss no matter what.

Halifax is 2 for 2 in coin flips...so they are due for a coin-flip loss...going 3 for 3 in coin flips, the probability of that happening is 12.5%

Are you sure Halifax won the coin flip last year? The Q league shows them having the 2nd pick. Val d'or picked first

It will be interesting to see if we win or not, but in the grand scheme of things, I don't think it matters a whole lot. We're going to be getting a good player regardless.

True....either way a good player, but id rather have the 1st overall pick...gives you more options.. If a team picking 3rd or 4th overall really covets a kid they think will go 1st or 2nd...than they may flip picks and Halifax can pick up an extra 2nd rounder... This would be especially useful if say Halifax wanted a kid they believe they could get at 4th or 5th overall. I have no idea who Halifax is high on, but it seems as though the top 2 guys are dmen, in my opinion, so if Halifax really wants a forward they may look at trading down. But like I said, im not sure who Halifax is keying on, whether thats Poulin or Matheson on D, or a kid like Ciampini, Gamelin or Hudon, who they could get beteween 4th-6th

Bathurst needs some young D, I think they still have their top pick which will be 5th overall and they've also paid big to move up in the past... who knows.

In this draft is there a 17 YO Mathieu Perreault type available who would be higher ranked than any 16 YOs coming on stream? This is the only way I can see the Titan trading up, that it be for a defenseman or a forward.....because they will want somebody ready to shine immediately for next season and beyond.... Yes we need Ds, but the Titan also have the means of keeping 2 of Malka/Malouin/Tanel till next Christmas and then pick up a top D for offensive purpose: Malka Blain Tanel/Malouin Moore Bernier Houle IMO the upgrade needed will be in goals....looking out for a veteran at draft. Then they will look for a veteran 19 YO D. On forward, the Titan should be OK. Rumour is that payette from Drummondville is coming in Bathurst at the draft in the Blanchard trade. If it is, the need is not as urgent.
