Could be plausible...I wouldnt put anything past the Russian Ice Hockey Federation... My main point though was to re-tort CP's claim that Kabanov is more 'fixable' than Clarke...whatever that means. Clarke has been that way for 2 full years and he's worn out his welcome on 2 different teams. KK has only basically played 1/3 of the season and by the time he came back from his injury his spot was sort of gone(in the top 6) and he was down to the 3rd line and didn't respond the right way. The Cats marketing him after 2 games with "nickname for KK" campaign also didn't help his humility. He's only played a 1/3 of the year and left or been kicked off of two teams. I'm not sure what makes him so much more fixable... looks like he has a bit of a superiority complex and not exactly a team guy. Maybe it can be fixed but even getting the opportunity to fix it doesn't look certain. Clarke takes too many penalties at bad times. We're not talking about him quitting on the team or being a bad team guy (infact he fought guys this year bigger and older to stand up for teammates)... we're not even talking a bunch of blatant cross checks or stupid roughing after the whistle penalties. His bad penalties were stepping up to land big hits late in the game, having the guy try to avoid a hit and Clarke would just get a piece of the guy with a knee or arm. I don't even think his issue is throwing dirty hits but knowing when the game calls for a big hit and when late in close games putting yourself in that position isn't necessary. The issue has been blown out of proportion and isn't the be all and end all of the Moose off season.

No, the fact that he's 17, was a top 5 pick, and is a good player, means he has value on the trade market, and could help a rebuilding team who has depth on defence, and is who thin up front. Your obsessed with the fact that just because he is being "shopped" (no one even has proof of this, but whatever) that he's worn out his welcome, and the team can't wait to get rid of him etc etc. When all it is, is a case of a team having an asset and exploring their options, and taking from a strength to address a weakness. I've said this before, no one on this team is untouchable. Cam is probably looking and thinking over different scenarios for a lot of different players. But it doesn't mean he hates the players and wants to get rid of them. If you have depth in one area and want to improve elswhere, you usually shop the guys that are #5-6 on your club that may be @2-3-4 on another...not your top guys. For example if Pittsburgh is looking to deal from it's depth at center, do you think they shop Malkin or Crosby? ...or do they shop Staal? And if your big need is a higher end Dman and Staal will get you a #4 guy and Malkin will get you a #2 guy who do they shop? Seems like you trade Malkin and since he takes some bad penalties maybe that makes the decision easier.
