I understand where Mario is comiing from as he doesnt feel the need to waste a draft pick as this isnt what he is about, and that we have enough experienced guys that should be able to fill the void.... However in the mean time hasnt anyone read the paper this team is playing well and all we need to do is create more traffic in front of the net to pick up rebounds and our problem would be solved....
Come on now people........
We can start laughing now.......

Lambke reminds me of a good friend of mine who used to play in the Q. Remarkable talent and no desire to better himself. Didn't wanna work out/condition. Ended up being dropped by the Rocket. Headed to the MJAHL for a year and then spent 2 years in the CHL in the States before quitting hockey altogether.
Trivia:
Name this player.

I don't think.....what was Brent, an 8th-9th rounder? The view from the Pier isn't necessarily the same view the hockey world has.....remarkable local talents go quite high in the draft, not in the 12th or 13th round of eligibility.

I'm probably biased because he's a good friend. All I know is that he had ALOT of potential to be a solid player. Hell, he was a solid player, with little to no effort.

He didnt see enough ice last year to to really prove himself, 10 goals with all the line juggling and playing with Shaw is at least good enough to "fill in this year"
I mean art come on.... seriosuly?
We certainly have Nothing to loose......

MacSween played with the Rocket for the end of his 19 y/o season in 05-06. He was brought in via waivers from Chicoutimi and finished the season with us. He only had 2 points in 25 games in the regular season, but was one of our best forwards in our first round series vs. Bathurst when we went out in 5 games. He wasn't brought back as a 20. cb Lambke reminds me of a good friend of mine who used to play in the Q. Remarkable talent and no desire to better himself. Didn't wanna work out/condition. We certainly have Nothing to loose...... Bourgeois had plenty of opportunity to prove himself last year. It didn't work out and he and the team have both moved on. Why re-hash something that clearly wasn't working? Although it seems to be alright with the Calgary Flames - bringing Jokinen and Tanguay back.

Brent's time with the Rocket is extremely forgettable. But in his 2.5 seasons with Chicoutimi he was a pretty damned effective third line player with his size and underrated skill. Now that he's older and a bit wiser, MacSween would probably be the first to admit that if he had his head screwed on straight during his junior days he would have been a top two lines player.... and might be playing pro now. Christopher is right, the guy does have a lot of talent. The guy is a behemoth, something like 6'5" 230 lbs, but still skates pretty damned well, shoots the puck very hard and has quite a bit of hockey sense. I know PEI fans didn't see much or any of this because he was kind of going through a rock bottom part of his junior career at that point, but the guy has skills. The fact that he remained a regular, contributing Q player on some very solid Chicoutimi teams despite being pretty unfocused off the ice says a lot about his natural talent.
