PEI had a lot of pucks go through the Moose crease and no one was there to tap them in. Yetman made some excellent saves, but he looked very shaky on some shots or weird bounces- he was very lucky PEI didn't convert on any of them.
The PP was pretty bad, but without Voracek and Bod, it's not surprising. Both goals scored were not your typical PP goals, but never the less, PP is at 25% after game one.
PEI fans were not too impressed with the refs, who were pretty inconsistent, and called some weak ones. The crowd there is pretty tame though, with most of them being 70+ in age lol. I lost count of how many people came up the steps in my section limping or with a cane. The announced attendance was 2700, but like the MC, there's no way there were that many people. There were some sections where the whole top half were completely empty.
I like the acoustics in that rink- it was loud, and when the crowd got into it, the atmosphere was good. I will definitely go back.
I won't really make any other game comments, because most people probably watched it anyway, but as expected, the first game was sloppy, and to come out with a win was pretty nice. I hope Kennedy doesn't shit the bed in CB.

Cute? Rare is more likely. When Euros fight, it's such an anomaly that everyone is attentive and it's definitely memorable! But I don't think that people think it's 'cute'. You just gave the same deswcription he used but changed the term to rare.. So yes, i guess it's cute as well

I hope Kennedy doesn't shit the bed in CB. Has it been announced he'll start tomorrow? If not, I woulsn't think he would. We have almost a week off before the home opener so I can't see why our "starter" shouldn't see both.

Cute however, is entirely different than rare. I don't see the similarity. Please feel free to explain.

Kennedy has been here longer...Moosehead loyalty dictates that he cant be designated as the "backup".

Cute however, is entirely different than rare. I don't see the similarity. Please feel free to explain. People see Euros as skill-only players who usually have the gloves glued on and have to be protected by others. On the rare (there, there's your word ) occasion that one drops em the crowd is all "Ooh look at little so-and-so-OV, he's going to stand up for himself, way to go little guy!" That's what I mean by "cute".
