Also @buffalosabres: #Sabres Assistant Coach Danny Flynn has been relieved of his duties. The contracts of Bryan Trottier & Tom Coolen will not be renewed. Bit of a tough break for the Cats connection of coaches ... Buffalo was a hopeless situation this year, regardless of who was coaching - if anything they played hard most of the year. That said, reading some of Murray's quotes, it seems some of the same old issues with Nolan popped up with regards to communication with management. I suspect this will be his last kick at the can as an NHL head coach. Wonder what will become of Flynn? Will he surface back in junior? I could see it as a GM, but probably not as a coach ... Maybe an NHL scouting gig somewhere? |

Maybe an NHL scouting gig somewhere? When Flynn was relieved of duties after the 2012-13 season , he wanted to move into a more executive role. I could see him do some scouting and maybe move into management. Now wether or not that will be with a junior team or a pro team , I'm not sure. Never know , maybe Toronto brings him on as a scout. Allan Power was fired in Toronto's mass cleansing. |
