Nice run down WML ... I don't remember a Brandon Greenside ... when did he play? Also ... wasn't Brannon playing AUS in NS last year? Greenside only played 9 games for us in 2006-07 but I really liked his play. He went on to play in the OHL for a few seasons after being cut as a free agent.Yes Brannon was playing AUS for St.Francis last season..

Former Wildcat Martin Bartek is playing for Slovakia at the World Hockey Championships. It's been a while since I heard his name anywhere.

Marek Hrivik looked good at New York's prospect camp during Thursday's scrimmage. He recorded a goal and two assists for Team White in a 6-4 loss to Team Blue. The scrimmage had more of a controlled drill type of feel, with plenty of power plays, but Hrivik has been impressive. He could get a chance to stick with the Rangers out of training camp this fall because Ryan Callahan and Carl Hagelin are expected to be sidelined for the start of the 2013-14 season due to shoulder injuries.

The Blues will give prospects Ty Rattie and Dmitrij Jaskin chances to make to the opening-night roster. Rattie was the team's second-round pick in 2011 and had 48 goals and 110 points in the WHL's regular season. He added 20 more goals and 36 more points in 21 playoff games. Jaskin put up 46 goals and 99 points in the QMJHL last season. Blues general manager Doug Armstrong wants to see these guys make an impact at the NHL level very soon. "(Rattie's) going to get a very good look in training camp and he's going to get a look with some of our better players," Armstrong said. "It's a big step from junior hockey to the NHL. He's a talented goal scorer and he's scored at every level. He'll get a look and if he's ready to play, he'll play. That will be the same with Jaskin."

Jérôme Bérubé ?@jerome_Berube 2m Brandon Shea will be attending the Carolina Hurricanes dev camp next week. For a guy who has shown little on the ice, and lots as far as off ice headaches go, he certainly gets a ton of chances lol.
