Jérôme Bérubé ?@jerome_Berube 2m Brandon Shea will be attending the Carolina Hurricanes dev camp next week. For a guy who has shown little on the ice, and lots as far as off ice headaches go, he certainly gets a ton of chances lol. Guys with size and skill will always get multiple chances.

Descbamps signed a 2 way contract with Washington for the American league/Capitals.

Hearing that Crawford and Marchand have been invited to the Canadian Olympic team camp ... and Yandle was invited to the US Olympic team camp ... and Oduya was invited to the Swedish camp.

Hearing that Crawford and Marchand have been invited to the Canadian Olympic team camp ... and Yandle was invited to the US Olympic team camp ... and Oduya was invited to the Swedish camp. There are many players I would take before Marchand. Don't get me wrong, I love to hate him as a Bruins, but I don't think his style will work well at the Olympics with the officiating they have. He would be too much of a risk if you ask me.

Marchand was a key player in the U19 tournament so that is prolly why they are thinking about him....he is a pest...hehe

Marchand was a key player in the U19 tournament so that is prolly why they are thinking about him....he is a pest...hehe I think he has earned his right to be among the top 47 (or whatever the number is) players invited to summer orientation, but I don't think he is going to be on the final roster ... too many better choices. Nonetheless, kudoes to Marchand, who has achieved more at the NHL level than most felt possible. Always nice to see our former players shine on the biggest stage.

Jérôme Bérubé ?@jerome_Berube 3m Brandon Shea is back with the Quebec Remparts via @cloutierray ... and the saga continues. Doesn't the amount we get from him hinge on games played or offensive output ... or something like that ?

Jerome Samson is another player on the bubble to possibly make Winnipeg's roster. He could just as easily open the season in the AHL though. "Not knowing where you're going to end up is stressful," Samson said. "But you have to take a day-by-day mentality and give all you have when given a chance." He will make $600,000 at the NHL level and $200,000 if he skates in the minors.
Ironically he is battling Pareice Cormier for a spot...
Patrice Cormier is vying for an NHL spot again after getting tastes of the big league over the past three years. "I was so close a few years ago and then two days before the season they picked up a player and I was sent down. To have that taste in your mouth and to be so close, it's difficult," said Cormier. "But then you get those call-ups during the season and it reminds you of how great it us up here. It's why we are all year, to play in the NHL. There's nothing like it." He will earn $575,000 in the NHL and $70,000 in the AHL this season, depending on where he ends up.

Marek Hrivik is one of 19 forwards still left in Rangers camp. He looked good when they played the Oilers on TSN the other night.
