Finally a game at the CCC tonight as the CB Screaming Eagles are in town to take on the Rocket.
Game time-7:00pm
The Rocket will need to contain Sheppard who has been on fire so far this pre-season.

Any confirmation that Sheppard will actually be playing?
I'm really looking forward to getting back to the CCC. I know it's much maligned, but there's just something about that place...

Sheppard is done for the pre-season... they said he would play the 2 against Halifax then rest for pro-camp...

One less worry for the Rocket.
Wonder if Little will be dressed....I assume so.

My bro Dave (former asst trainer with the Rocket) is making his first trip to the Civic Centre tonight as part of a rival team...has nothing to do with the game on the ice, but we're proud he made the jump to head trainer/equipment manager with the Eagles.
I look forward to tonights game with the new sound system, my new sound booth and hopefully some stellar hockey....as far as preseason goes

Interesting to see who Jean dresses tonight.
Personally I think it would be best to sit out all of the NHL Camp guys as they understandably wouldn't want to risk any type of injury before camp and will play that way even if they dress. Plus they have already gotten into a few preseason games.
However, my guess is that Jean will dress all of the NHL guys to get one last preseason game out of them and in hopes of a big preseason win at home for the crowd. With that assumption here is what we will probably see:
Walker-Morrison-Latal
Kana-Doyle-Locke
Cliche-Lachaine-MacLean (showcase him at home)
Paynter-Street-Main
Lessard-Southorn
Gervais-Clow
Swit-Little (first look)
Lafleur
Gelinas (half game)
I know it wouldn't be the same entertainment value but I personally I would rather see this:
Kana-Doyle-Locke
Cliche-Lachaine-Schmidt
McKinley-Street-Main
Coon-Come-DesRoches-MacLean
Gervais-Clow
Southorn-Malouin
Swit-Little
Mosher/Gelinas (split the game)
As a side note I noticed that Haddad hasn't played a preseason game yet for the Eagles which I'm guessing means he has been injured and likely won't play tonight.
And we will likely see CB's Euro goalie Bena since Davenport/Bellavance played last night.

I seriously doubt Little will play tonight. The kid as only been here for a day. They will prob practice him at least a couple of times to get his bearings first.

I just happened to see the roster Line up for tonights game and the goalies for tonight are Evan Mosher wearing number 1 and Lafleur wearing number 35(i think)....

Hm so I Just found out now that this game was even happening!
I'm guessing for us no Sheppard as I think they said he'll rest for NHL camp from here on in. Also no Culligan, Haddad, Brad Gallant, or Beau Prokopetz as they're all nursing minor (we think) injuries. I also think Sam Finn may be out of the lineup with injury, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Here's to a good game. It seems this game was flipped from Sep 5. My schedule is screwed so got to flip it all round. Might be something to do with the finnish team cancelling. |
