Just got back from seeing the Rocket win the Cavandish Cup and frankly my first pick for the game goes to Gelinas. THis kid has talent, speed and a sixth sense for what the opposing player is going to do. Love his puck control and stick play especially in the shoot out. Good going Marc-Antoine.
I want to see you lots in as the Rocket netminder.
Coach, keep this kid. He is good and he deserve to play many games with us.

IMO I think He's a better goalie than Mosher.

Does it really matter who Jean keeps as a backup? He probably wont see any icetime anyways.

The Rocket need a reliable backup for Lafleur because the last couple of seasons Jean has played the crap out of the starter and when it came to the playoffs, they weren't as effective as they should be.
As far as who should be backup, I don't think Mosher is ready for it, at least not yet. But what do you do with him? If he is to develop, he needs to play and I don't think sending him back to Midget AAA in Saint John's is the right situation either. Last year Mosher played on a team that was outshooting opponents by a 40-16 margin on some nights and were outscoring them 8-0 and 12-2. A goalie is not going to develop in a situation where he doesn't face many shots because his team is so dominating and I think that playing on a dominating team may have hurt his development.
But keeping him with the Rocket where he might not be ready is not good for him and the Rocket, would he be able to play Jr A in the MJHL?

Really though, I can't make much sense in keeping Gelinas if Mosher is going to be our goaltender of the future. Mosher needs to go through a full season with the team. Then you have him as #1 next season (if Lafleur doesn't come back) and you have Gelinas there as a very capable backup. Maybe even a tandem situation. If Mosher is not the plan for the future though, then who knows?

I agree with you about the playoffs, look what happened to Lafleur against the Titan.
