TVA has a game scheduled for Thursday ... no teams assigned to it yet (as of yesterday when I checked). Anybody know yet how many teams are playing Thursday ? TVA showed the game Friday night from BBA so maybe they'll go back there again this Thursday. Now TVA is not showing a Thursday game ... NHL has been scheduled now. We are the only series playing Thursday ... and everybody plays Friday ... schedule is now up on Q site. TVA is showing a game Friday but chances are it isn't us ... teams are not yet determined. RN @ Que or Drum/Vic would probably bring more interest from viewers.

I'll say Armada in 6, primarily because they have struggled since midseason.

TVA is showing Charlottetown @ Halifax as per their agreement with Sportsnet. They are also showing a Victo-Drum game on Tuesday. Quite a few interesting 1st round series across the CHL and Sportsnet chooses Halifax/Charlottetown... They did the same thing last year with Halifax and Saint John. Makes zero sense considering the QMJHL's 1 vs 16 etc playoff format. Why not show a good OHL/WHL matchup, and wait for the later rounds to broadcast the Q? It's a head-scratcher for sure. Could be entertaining if Charlottetown is up to their old tricks though. In regards to this series, you can never predict an upset. But Moncton has a shot at this. Hell they would've beat Halifax if their games were in a 7-game series format. They have enough scoring with a healthy lineup, and if Dubeau can show he can stay on his game with a little more pressure on him, Moncton could surprise. My prediction in the contest was the Armada in 6 games.

because they want to get their Q matchup in right away so they can focus the rest of the playoffs on the OHL

They also showed SJ/Cape Breton a couple years ago, but at least there was somewhat of an excuse there as CIS tournament was being played in Fredericton. If they were dead set on a Q game why not Victo/Drummondville? Even CB/Gatineau would be a good choice. So strange.

In fairness I wouldn't blame them for showing a Guelph/London 2nd round game. That series is quite likely to happen and they're two of the best teams in the country.

They are selling the names in this one, more than the hockey -Defending Champs -Drouin, Fucale, Ehlers and even Sprong is notable as a top rookie

So from the outside looking in, it would make more sense to show a couple games from the other leagues, and save the Q until later when the matchups become better. As Bois eluded to, if they have to show a game from each league, they probably just want to get their QMJHL matchup out of the way early.
