Jean is the real disgrace here..... Honestly, who gives a shit about Jean. It's not all his fault that no one on our team came to play. Fire him or whatever, I don't think it'll make a difference at this point. If a team had one bad period where nothing clicked that's one thing, but to have it happen 5 out of the 6 periods they have played this season goes back to the coach. Rocket were not prepared for this game at all, both mentally and physically. I don't think that Jean's head was into the game either because twice he tried to send a player out on the ice when the Rocket already have 5 skaters on the ice. If the Rocket are to go anywhere this season he has to get his head out of his ass and start to coach these kids and have them prepared to play hockey. |

what am i gunna change my name to, i no he didnt lose but do i put 1 draw or 2 I'd change my name completely and stop honoring that disgrace of a hockey player. Most of the disgraces were on the home side tonite by the way im reading these posts. Get someone other than Walker and Paytner to handle the tough going . Your team was scared shittless. |

I understand this was a terrible game... but there seems to be CRAZY overreacting here dont you think? LOL... This is a bloodthirsty fan base, after GAME 2 of the season, when games are typically "boring" and sloppy. You guys have a good team that will start clicking, Morrison wont be shit for long etc... This is the nastiest response to a single loss this early EVER lol... Friday, many said that despite the loss, most were happy with what they saw... now they lose another, and everyone is burned at the stake  |

Game was shit.. Everyone played the shits. Kana was pretty much the only good player out there the rest were not into the game at all I have no idea what the hell is going on with this team. Its bullshit how serge goes on every season ohhh gonna be a great year great players.. Hell we were ranked 5th what the hell happend? players are not playing coaches not coaching If i hear serge go on and on about the attendance at the CCC in the next few months I say its bullshit its his fault the fans are not coming to the games. Decent crowd on hand for the home opener and look what happens pretty much a blow out and today just another piss poor game. Somthing needs to be done here. The Sea pups just purely kicked our asses tonight. Not to impressed.. AND why the hell would he not dress wright known the type of player Gallant is That was a bold move also. Why the hell have him here if they are not going to play him when they should be.

I still don't understand on how they can do a "ranking" up before season starts..........and I dont understand why so many people look at that and say, "What the hell happened"...... Forget about the ranking.. The thing that gets me frustrated is that I really think that we as fans could have a really solid team this season. Yes, this season we do have some great players, and on paper we should be a top 3-5 team in this league IMO................but so far the performance on ice has been not up to those standards. Serge has to figure out what the problem is. Talk to the players, talk to the coaching staff. Make sure they are both on the same page. If not, find the problem whatever it is and do what he has to do to fix it. |

Wow takes a long time to read all the responses lol Tonightsgame was the terrible for starters i know Doyle is gonna be "the Guy" but he has to learn some Discipline come on 3 No look behind the back or drop passes that lead to turnovers, and what about all the penaltys he took tonight  I no he had 2 goals but with the game out of reach and the other team not really in to it is that really much to brag about?? He needs to lear he cant do it all himslef, same with morrison seems the only player he passed too was walker and if he wasnt out on the ice the puck barley left Morrisons stick.......... The SeaDongs had no problem with Passing through the middle why cant we do that, always chipping it along the boards,, I think Swit played better then b4 but hes still not the 20 IMPact we need glad to see his ice time limited in the 3rd... i felt like leaving during the 1st.. only thing worth watching in the game was the Seadogs fans, wow they even out cheered us even b4 they beatin started, wouldnt mind seeing a rink full of rocket fans like that some day ( Fridays tv annoucers called the CCC "" As quiet as a Church"" But best patt of the game was when the Seadog fans got Kicked out for making fun of Doyle and tellling off a Rocket Fan,,, thats my rant of the night and yes all in one sentance lol... |

We were wondering after the game tonight if they are going to just have the players go out when the stars are announced and wave....or are they going to start handing out some hats. I really hope that it hasn't come down to this....things aren't good if it has.
Great post from Fireside on the game, you seen it as it was, and it's too bad that if Connolley is going to walk around and hand out freebies that he doesn't give it to the paying customers. As it was said, nothing personal to these people, but might be a good idea to hand them out on a regular basis to the paying fans.....although if things don't turn around, nobody will be paying to leave the Island to watch them anyhow. Don't mind losing, but it's much better when some real effort is given in the game.

Fingers are on the panic button and I don't blame them. All summer as many have pointed out fans were told it will be a great year, we've got some players and a team to cheer for.....whoops.
Where's the team from the pre-season....heard they were good.
Friday night I can handle....Halifax IS a very good hockey team...be thankful they were missing those 5 players. I thought a few of guys played well Fri night, but today was just miserable. I know it's only Game 2 of the season, but it doesn't take long for 0-2 to be 0-5 or 0-10.
I will say this Kana has made himself an early pick for fan fav this season so far....I like this kid...simple as that.
Attendance today? Geez look at the weather this afternoon...you had Terry Fox run, ball tournaments and I'm sure the golf courses were doing well....too nice out yet for hockey especially on a Sunday afternoon.
I left after the 2nd and cut my grass when I got home....more enjoyable. I usually have 1 game a year where I'm pissed off enough to leave....today was it and much earlier than expected I have to say and hopefully the last....I hate walking out on the lads.
Dogs get full marks....they came here for a win and outplayed the Rocket.
I almost compare the ranting and finger pointing to what you see in English football (or soccer). Manchester United took 3 games to get a win and the press and fans were calling for the coach's head. When they got their first win the crowd was singing and cheering the whole game to spur them on. Now they are in the top three of the table. In other words we know we have a good team and are going to have to ride this out with them.
I was debating going to Wednesday's game, but listening to all this today makes me want to show up even more to cheer on Wednesday night.
p.s. - Abbies at least have started this season with 2 wins.....go figure.

SJ fan here who was at the game. Sorry to say but the Rocket did play horrible up until the last 5-10 minutes of the 3rd. Given that, I also thought the Dogs played a very strong game in all 3 zones and the score could have easily been 4-1 after the first if it wasn't for Lafleur. He was hung out to dry.
I loved the fact that Dido scored a hat trick but no way in hell should a team allow 2 short handed goals in 1 period, let alone a game. As one poster mentioned earlier, I was suprised to see how easy we were passing through the neutral zone.
PEI players that I were impressed with were Walker, Kana and Doyle. Doyle has a wicked shot and will be a stud as long as he can stay out of the box of course. Lessard should not have been a star. I have no idea why you have Swit as a 20. He looked bad.
As for the Gallant comment, he loves to fight but he is not a dirty player at all. I don't think he intended for the high stick but that happens in the game of hockey. Certainly not deserving of a Match penalty.
ps. Your rink is deathly quiet.

All that we can do is just try to forget this game, and hope that they come out prepared for Wednesdays game Vs Lewy.
For some reason, they came out FLAT tonight (Flat is not even the word for it) and got smoked by a team that wanted it more.
Effort was not their for a lot of the players (names were already mentioned, no need for me to do it again) and when that happens you are gonna see a game like tonight.
Start to have me thinking, just how prepared this team was heading into the game tonight? Sea Dogs came to play.......why didnt the Rocket?
The Rocket have a solid group of players this season, and can really do some damage with the addition of one or two come deadline day, but why they came out tonight and played a solid 6-10 min out of 60 is beyond me.
The D we have is very questionable....and that needs to be addressed at the deadline. Hopefully by then, it wont be to late.
