i know brett personally. he is a good kid. but, he would not be in the q if he could not fight. he could not make a major midget team on the island when he was eligible let alone jr a. he is there to fight and thats it

The definition of goon is
1-A stupid, foolish, awkward person 2-A roughneck 3-A thug hired to intimidate or harm opponents. 4-A stupid or oafish person.
All fit Gallant. Especially 3. Nuff said.

maybe #3 but thats it. to say he is stupid or oafish is plain silly.he is a good , normal kid who can fight.and thats why he is there.

Also, the definition of idiot is an utterly foolish or senseless person. So why isn't he either.
*Cue SJ fans arguing, bitching, and whining.

It's kinda funny cuz Gallant is actually friends with quite a few of the Rocket players. This thread could go on forever! Does Gallant get under your skin yousuckref?

The Sea Dogs came to play people...plain and simple...the Rocket did not. The team knows what they have to do and I'm sure that since the loss to the dogs Coach Jean has been working on the areas that need improvement. The Rocket have a talented team and should do very well this season. It is too bad that they lost both openers but it is only the beginning of the season, there is lots of time left. Seems to be alot of hate on here for Gallant.....sounds like he got a little too excited at the game...I'm sure the 2 games he will be sitting and watching his teqam will tone him down quite abit.

My, my, my......all this talk about Gallant....is he a goon.....or isn't he?
I guess the difference will be seen when the first guy from an opposing team cheap-shots Picard-Hooper. Sea Dog fans will have no problems calling that character a "goon", and will argue the point until they are blue in the face (just like some Rocket fans are doing now).
I have no problem with the way Gallant plays his game.....that is exactly why he is there. If the Rocket had someone in the lineup that could take care of business, we wouldn't even be talking about this. They would have dropped the gloves, fought, and it would be over......case closed.

Personally I don't care what anyone calls him, Gallant does his job and he does it well obviously scouts have taken notice.
Just curious now were Rocket folks calling Haddad a goon when he had his little knee on knee with Mathieu Carle?

Couldn't agree more mb...its a rough friggin' game tough guys do there jobs..skilled players do theirs, and no I won't be arguing anything 'till I'm blue in the face...if Picard-Hooper gets nailed with his head down, the dogs will take care of it, there and then, they can defend themselves just fine..as you said thats all the Rocket had to do...had they been able!

We used to call Joey BAD BAD JOEY HADDAD
anyways the SeaDogs game is long over.. go back to your board and argue about the merits of Brett Gallant's hockey career.. we should have far more important things to discuss here about the Rocket
