Should be interesting to see the roster moves by the weekend...I expect Barbashev and Tkachev back soon, plus Walcott should be back to BBA which means Tassi coming here and potentially a d-man cut from the Cats as that would make 8...Tassi-Sweeney Johnston-Holwell Malatesta- Klebanskyj Lukezik-Tesink

Lalonde heading to Adirondack's AHL camp Monday. Not sure what his chances are, but that would certainly be a massive blow for the Cats.

Who gets cut/demoted with Tassi arriving? Tesink? Lukezic?

Barbashev has been released from Blues camp. He SHOULD be able to make it to Moncton by tomorrow night.

I realise it is early in the season but some of last years traded players are doing very well
Simpson is 11th is scoring and has 6g Penney is 18th in scoring and has 4g Yarwood is the top scoring d in the league
I know we got younger through the process but I wonder if we would not want one of those back, especially if Lalonde does not come back.

I would say Yarwood is quite a bit better than Tassi. I'm sure Simpson right now is a better player than Askew. Penney would be odd man out I guess...

Curtis sent back to Commandos with Tkachev coming back. I guess with Cormier/Cobham/Olivier there wasn't really a need also...

How has Liam Murphy been so far in the regular season? Haven't been that noticeable but has limited ice time. One thing he has going for him is his size. He's a sturdy 6'1" 210lbs. I think he'll be okay after an adjustment period. He needs to get used to the speed of major junior.

Getting injured in training camp and missing a significant portion of the pre-season has definitely hurt him. He was talked about as being a guy who could play in the top two lines, but ended up being passed by the likes of Leger and Smith.
In the long run it might end up being best for his development that he's moved along a little more slowly.
