Conngrats to all the kids, I predicted last season that Fortier and Ford would both be on this team I can't wait to spend weekends at the rink again.(it will be so weird to call it Scotiabank Center, I've only ever known it as the Metro Center) Did I mention come Christmas time I may get to see Jo play in the NHL in Florida.

Any idea on what the lines will look like next year?
I think Ehlers - Gadoury - Meier is a pretty safe bet for the top line but after that it gets a lot harder to figure out. The team is a little heavy at right wing with Falkenham, Shewfelt, Fortier, King and Bent. I doubt the Moose will want to bury any one of Falkenham, Shewfelt or Fortier on the fourth line so one of them will probably have to switch to the opposite wing. Here's my best guess…
Ehlers - Gadoury - Meier Falkenham - D. Moynihan - Fortier Vuic - Leblanc - Shewfelt C. Moynihan - Crossley - Bent Watt/King
On D I'm completely guessing but...
Hardie / Murphy Lussier / J. Fitzgerald Ford / C. Fitzgerald Taillefer Nauss

My guess is more:
Ehlers - Gadoury - Falkenham Meier - Moynihan - Fortier
as the top 2 lines.

I think Shewfelt will be the LW on one of the top 2 lines.

I think Shewfelt will be the LW on one of the top 2 lines. I think he'll start on the 3rd line, but ya, it won't be long and he'll force his way into the top 6.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Fortier paired with Gadoury and Ehlers to start up.

Anyone think Ford and Fortier will play together on the same line? they were on the same midget team.

It could be frustrating at times for sure. But I have zero expectations. Would like to see which younger players can improve as the season goes along. See if Fucale can steal a few games for us (until Christmas... fingers crossed he's traded to start the rebuild). And perhaps see a few magical goals from Ehlers. Maybe see if we can steal a few games from Charlottetown and Cape Breton. Oh, and we have a 20 game unbeaten-in-regulation streak going against Bathurst. It'll be very interesting to see the younger players develop. I can see the team getting better as the season goes along, though if Fucale is dealt (I hope he is to start the rebuild), it'll cost in the standings, but if the kids grow, they'll be better for it in the long run. Hopefully, Resop is the goalie that they can build on making a Fucale trade easier to swallow. "Hopefully, Resop is the goalie that they can build on making a Fucale trade easier to swallow." How will we ever be sure. I do not expect that after Fucale returns from habs camp around mid/late September that Resop will get in enough games to really get a feel for this league and show anything from rare starts. Fucale will play all those games especially if Cam is showcasing him for the best package at the trade deadline...so we want Fucale to play until his pads tear off....its the best thing for the moose in long term. But we will have no idea what Resop can do until Fucale is gone. That decision to move Fucale will be made long b4 Resop takes over the crease in December.

You all seem 100% certain he will be traded. I'm not. Maybe Bobby Smith isn't feelin' trading away stars.
Either way, this young man seems to really enjoy playing here, and I'm sure he reads this forum from time to time, do we really have to start scratching him off the roster already? Let's enjoy him while he is still in the lineup!

Anyone think Ford and Fortier will play together on the same line? they were on the same midget team. I highly doubt that. Ford is a defenseman. Fortier is a forward. I think they will be on the ice at the same time at a few points this season, if that's what you mean.

Yes that's what I meant and I meant play on the same line, as in 3 forwards and 2 D to clarify. Anyone else read on twitter that Ehlers is trying to crack the Jets lineup this season; I'm not sure he's NHL ready but wouldn't that be something lose Nik and Jo in the same season.
