Eric Laplante was my favourite player when I was 12 years old. 20 goals, 30 helpers and 250 PIM as a 16 year old rookie on the "kid line". His goal celebration was the sheathing of the sword! How could you not be entertained by that guy?

How could you not be entertained by that guy? I wonder who he's entertaining now? Eric Laplante : Former Moosehead pleads guilty to manslaughter
The Canadian Press 2007 12 19
Former Halifax Mooseheads forward Eric Laplante pleaded guilty yesterday to a manslaughter charge stemming from a drug-related murder. The 28-year-old, who played for the Mooseheads from 1996 to 1998, could spend the next 11 years behind bars if the Crown gets what it wants. The defence has recommended a jail term of five or six years. Laplante and co-accused Ninja Elgin pleaded guilty to a reduced charge for a slaying that happened in January 2006. The two men were to meet drug trafficker Benjamin Lefebvre at a house in nearby Chateauguay. The drug deal went wrong and Elgin shot Lefebvre in the face. Laplante, of Laval, Que., had set up the meeting and was also present and carrying a weapon. He wanted to leave the meeting with money and drugs.

How about goalies Kennedy & Boutin . Kennedy was the only reason people didn't want Yetman gone. And honestly, if you look at posts from Abeltshauser's Sophmore season: people wanted him gone too! Oh, and Pascal Amyot

How could you not be entertained by that guy? Never played as a 16 year old. 17+. People on here are such Q fan boys who think I'm crazy when I say the league isn't nearly as exciting as it used to be. So much more passion, and a crazy cast of characters 10+ years ago. Like I said many times, we get a few competitive regular season games but don't get the fun spectator hockey until the playoffs (if teams are matched well).

Not sure who would dispite that as its 100% fact. Sad thing now is theres not a lot of reason to invest time and money into a rebuilding team due to that lack of entertainment. The charachters used to make it worth while to go to a game whether the home team was competitive or not as there was always a chance for some fireworks. There was more entertainment in the first half of a season back then than there is in a full one now.

Not sure who would dispite that as its 100% fact. People that post on here that should know better do actually dispute it. Even if the Q is the only hockey they have ever seen, they should still be able to notice it isn't as fun. But this goes back to me saying a lot of people on here go by rote, they will always go regardless.
