Grags was sent down to Buffalo's AHL team in Rochester on Tuesday.
Was wondering how he was getting along, hadn't heard or read anything about him so far this training camp season.

Really doubt it.................... Grags is gonna be a solid Dman this season in the AHL. Wish the Rocket had his skill this season on there backend.. Also, Lali is still in the Flyers camp.

Right now 1/2 of a Grags would be a benefit for the young D we have to work with.

I don't think he taught the young guys much if amything last season. He was talented but did not aways put out a quality effort and was usually ready to point fingers at others when he made mistakes. The guy that really made an impact, even though it was only half a season was Guilbeault. He was smart and appeared to give good direction to Boutin and Southorn when paired with them.

I agree Guilbault was a terrific overage dman.. the best one we've seen IMO
I hated seeing him go last year.. but it was a price we had to pay to acquire Mo and Gervais and it was worth it obviously
I just wish Serge had found a real quality overage dman this year when we REALLY needed it

He would have been better doing it in the off season dogpound Otherwise he will have to overpay again as he did when he acquired Mealy and Milot a couple years ago Far better off dealing a 2nd-4th round pick at the draft for a player than waiting until mid-season and getting fleeced.. I agree Serge is underrated as a trader.. but I still think he's only slightly above average

McDuck has gone out and got us good older defencemen before - Milot, Mealy, Guilbault. Lomanno wasn't much of a success, though.....

Mealy cost us Dubuc.. a 40 goal scorer who Rouyn has benefitted from for 3 seasons.. we got Mealy for 30 games.. that trade was horrendous (and I liked Mealy)
Lomanno trade was poor as well
Really Serge should stick to dealing with Gatineau.. he has very good success ripping them off
