Has the League announced anything regarding this yet? If not, my guess would be a fine. No suspension.

Watched the replay 15 times to figure out why Schenn was so off balance. His left skate caught a rut in the ice - check the video at exactly 1:00 mark. MacKinnon touching his back with his stick was probably not the sole reason for the fall. To me, that looks more like MacKinnon's left skate making contact with Schenn's left skate, adding to situation

The cross check caused Schenn to catch his left skate on the ice. They were not separate and unrelated events. Do you really believe he goes crashing head first into the boards on his own.

Schenn is trying to hide which way he is going to take the puck. Just as he goes to make his cut Mackinnon shoved him and his left skate caught the ice and the shove sent him head first into the boards...it was an accident it wasn't Matt Cook but it was a dumb play.

Nate has five assists in his last two games. Now leads the Avs in scoring with 16 points in 21 games. Expands out into a 62 point season (http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/math/ratios.php helps with those types of calculations). He's definitely been struggling, but so has the whole Avs roster aside from maybe Tyson Barrie. But the fact that he's just about on his scoring pace from last year when the team is doing worse should tell us that he's doing fine. He'll learn how to keep his focus even when the team is doing poorly.
Three assists in the last 30 minutes last night.

Not exactly a win against not exactly a heavyweight. But we'll take it.

stupidity and frustration taking over there was no reason to fight there I thought it was a pretty normal exchange. But you're right in that he is probably frustrated. He'll snap out of his funk sooner or later.

he has never fought before to my knowledge
that was a pretty weak reason to get pissed enough to possibly break a hand there in my opinion... it wasn't like he was plowed into the boards from behind... he was basically bumped and sorta pushed down
and he has only 9 goals this year... ouch... he's gotta be disappointed

Against Rimouski in the playoffs (that 10-1 loss on Sportsnet) and against the Olympiques in the 2012-13 home opener, I think. MacKinnon should probably keep his gloves on.

Might not have gotten a fighting major.
