I did not watch a second of this game and am quite glad I did not. You have some fundamental issues when you give up such a big lead.

The sky is not falling. I know. Having a hyped up team can put the expectations a little too high. This can lead to some major fan disappointment when you give up big leads like what you just read from me.

I fully agree with Looney Tunes in his previous post, there are some fundamental issues here. It does not matter what level of hockey you play, if you give up 5 or more goals a game and consistently give up 2 and three goal leads, something is wrong. I am not a hockey expert by any means, but I do know something about the game. I believe the kids we have are talented and by this age or level, should know the fundamentals of hockey and be able to play and execute a game plan. After al, most of these kids would have come up through the minor hockey system playing at the higher levels and have been accustomed to systems since the Atom Level. I had the good fortune a number of years ago to enter my team that I coached in one of the largest International tournaments in the world, and you would be amazed at some of the systems these kids play at the tender age of 11 and 12. Even closer to home, with the ust recent Woeld under 17 Tournament hosted in Cape Breton, the USA team that won the tournament was head and shoulders above some of the other teams, including our Canadian teams. In the championship game, the US team completely dominated Team Pacific to the point that when the US team had a power play, our kids could not even touch the puck. What a pleasure to watch. I believe that most of our problems stem from the helter skelter way in which this team is being coached. They have no idea where they are going in their own end, thus the issues in our own end. If you watch our tam closely, we start out with set lines nad by the midway mark of the first period, it is like a train wreck with countless numbers of line and defensive combinations, kids playing left ing one time, right wing the next time and the same with the defence, playing left hand side one time, right hand side the next time, no wonder there is no continuity or stability on the ice, the kids are al over the map and playing with different line mates every second time out. Ihave stated in previous posts that I really think that Dumont is doing a great job in the GM role, with the exception of the goaltending revolving door, but Ihave some serious reservations about his coaching methods.Anyway, as I previously stated, with our goals against as it stands now, our success or progress will be very limited and that's my little rant for the day.

Trying our hardest to blow another 3 goal lead and lose once again. We'll see how the third period goes. Wake up Eagles.

Better result last night. Some real positives also out of last nights game. Duncan MacIntyre has probably his best game so far, as well as Deschamps on the back end, played a very solid defensive game. Brassard was solid in nets. And to give credit where credit is due, Jason Bell played a much better game last night, Except for one occasion where he pinched on the bluelind and got caught, he played a much simpler game, moved the puck well and stayed away from the high risk plays. Well done.Up front, Svechnekov was a real horse, looks like he is getting used to his surroundings.

Does anyone else think losing Farrell, Legare and Brassard this year...Is a pretty big loss the year before our contending year? I know it's early, but take Farrel's contributions and even Leagres' 2 goals the other night against the Dogs and his leadership in Russia.( Plus the scoring line) What exactly do we need in future picks and trades to make up for that loss of offense. Are we planning on buying at Xmas from rebuilding teams? ( 19 year olds? ) Or are we waiting for next year?
PS: Farrell so far as been amazingly better then we ever could have hopped for Darcy to be. People keep mentioning if Darcy had of been back... I keep mentioning the fact that Farrell is still here.

I thought about it but don't really think it'll be too much of a big deal, every year there is rebuilding teams looking to move point per game 20 year olds before the season starts. Obviously it'll suck to lose them before our real "big year" so to speak but I think next year our defense core will realistically be the best in the league if they keep developing and most of our top forwards will be in their 19 year old seasons. Plus this year we almost need to use some of our picks on a top 19 year old, otherwise we'll be having 4 1st round picks next year and very few available roster spots.
