From what I remember, he comes from a pretty wealthy family so I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I believe the rules are as long as they don't accept anything from CB aka they pay for the travel themselves, the player keeps his NCAA eligibility. Didn't you say above he was at the Kelowna Rocket camp and was not protected? Wouldn't that mean he waved his eligibility already for NCAA if he stay over whatever time period that is. You can go to camp for 48 hours and keep your eligibility. You can even stay longer as long as you don't let the team pay for anything. (from what I remember, I'm no agent/adviser lol)

If you look on The Portland Pirates website Hache is no longer listed there. He was last night but now he is not, I think that combined with the inside info I recieved is , at least to me, is pretty assuring. Big win tonight. Way to go Eagles. I still see him on the Portland website right beside Jordon Southorn portlandpirates.com/rosterjust looked at that myself. Weird, he wasn't there when I checked earlier. Anyway, it would still be unreal if he was sent back.

Interesting development with the American goaltender. Can't see them bringing him here just for a look. Pretty hot talk also about Hache returning pretty soon, what a bonus that would be. Looking at the roster for Portland, they are showing 9 defencemen, with Hache being the youngest.Odd to carry 9 defencemen, looks like they have to decide on what's best for Haches's development, send him back to Junior and play 30 plus minutes a game or keep him in Portland as the number 8 or 9 defenceman and have him in and out of the lineup and burn a year of his contract. worth watching to see how this one shakes out.

This is the situation I seen playing out a year or so ago when Hache playing as a 20 was first discussed. Many said, and I do agree with it, that he had played his way into pro hockey after his play last year but the problem is the numbers game in Arizona's system. Gormley still can't stick and the chain reaction is a Hache maybe playing a year of Junior that a lot didn't expect. A shorter wish list is never a bad thing for a buyer. I wonder what value Brassard holds. Would be nice to get a 4th or 5th but does anyone want a 20yr old goalie right now?

A top forward and defense-man for basically free and have all your assets to upgrade still in tact. And on top of all that, a FA goalie? Best part about all of this with the goalie, is the staff would have a few months to see what hes made of, and if he is a bust, you go find better at xmas. Again, lots to play out, but rumors are better then silence!

Either Hache was injured or scratched for the Portland Pirates first game of the season, and with Gormley being sent down it looks like at best, Hache will be the 7th or 8th D-Man on their depth chart.
Wouldn't that be something if he is sent back...

Exciting Times but nobody really knows if this Kid from Arizona is any better than Brassard . However if Hache is returned then their hand is kinda forced ..........unless ?

Gwinnett is also an option for Arizona with Hache.

He's just spending some time there until Salisbury's season starts in November.

No we don't know if he's better but we can give him a shot without it costing anything. I don't see Brassard being good enough that you move Farrell to keep him. If anything it gives Dumont every reason to go out there now and find that 2 year goaltender which is likely why this 18yr old is on the radar.
