Not a huge shock here. Darcy came back to CB after not being offered a contract by Tampa with a chip on his shoulder. Last year he used the chip on his shoulder to garner attention of NHL scouts to get drafted and this year he seems to have the "poor me" attitude.
I don't think this as anything to do with the personal feelings of Dumont. He is around the team everyday and see's how the players interact with each other, clearly there was something surrounding Darcy's attitude that led to his poor play (1 goal - empty net) and ultimately his release.

Don't be surprised if this team implodes, they are no where near where they should be.Whos is to blame? easy answer to that, look behind the bench. we can ignore how the team is playing and we can ignore he things we have been hearing about the discontent on this team, but at some point we have to realize that something is seriously wrong here. maybe the kids are growing tired of all the line juggling and maybe they are growing tired of some kids (Pelletier) being criticized publically while others (Brassard) are defended.Seems like this guy has his favorites (Brassard for one). I have been saying this for months and I do not wish to sound negative, but this guy is well on his way to ruining this hockey team.

Imploding is what got us to this point. It's perfectly fine to be negative at this point.

I pointed this out a week ago or so: 3-11-5 with Darcy 6-4-0 without Darcy
None of us are in the room but his return could have done more harm than good and maybe getting rid of him is welcomed by the players.

I've been saying this for a while now but why all the finger pointing at Dumont? Last year an arguably lesser team overachieved and people were boarding the Dumont for life train. This year the team who on paper is arguably better then last years is underachieving and people are calling for his head and speculating that the dressing room is falling apart when they have no proof of that.
This team has 15 league returning veterans plus a stud Euro in Svechnikov. It's time to stop dancing around it all and hold the players accountable for their performance, if being singled out in the newspaper does it so be it. These are kids that are potential pros, do you really think Pelletier wouldn't be called out by his coach if he was under preforming in Columbus? You can only play the cards that are dealt, the fact is the team has battled numerous injuries up front causing constant line juggling but its not an excuse for there play.

From what I've seen of Marcus Hinds, I think most Screaming Eagles' fans will be happy with what he brings to the team. It really came down to Hinds and Jevpalovs as the third 20 year-old in BBA.
Also, MAD is an excellent GM who will likely get a good return for Cameron Darcy. A change of scenery should really help Darcy.

I hear, from "sources" (billet families) that there aren't many happy players on the team.
Dumont constantly changing lines from period to period, the line up from game to game, guys aren't developing any chemistry, bringing in new players all the time, etc.
As much as the players are "employees" the Coach / GM has to do some things to keep them happy in order to get the best results. It sounds like he isn't doing anything - just what I'm hearing

You can only play the cards that are dealt, the fact is the team has battled numerous injuries up front causing constant line juggling but its not an excuse for there play. Much of the reason for Dumont's praise was his work as GM in the Roy and Carrier trades. As a coach he was expected to develop this core into something that should have been a force in the league over the next 18 months. In the playoffs he was exposed as being unprepared. So far this regular season has been very similar. I think that deserves some finger pointing. I agree that the fingers also have to be pointed at all but a handful of players but Dumont is now the guy who brought most of them here. It's supposed to be his team and we're supposed to be starting to see the end result of his supposed great GM work, not still trading away veterans for the 5th year in a row.

Players aren't doing much to keep Dumont happy either Each side has to share the blame I think. Trying to place the blame on 1 side or the other is a mistake, coaches and players have to share the blame and work together on the resolution.

He's only been here for 2 years (yesterday)
Anyone he brought in via the draft is still 16 or 17 lol they're still very young in their development. Any core players he brought in are still 18 (or younger) and/or still in their first full season with the Eagles.
Sullivan - First season in CB Brassard - First season in CB
Beaudin - 16 year old rookie Bell - 17 year old Deschamps - First season in CB Lalonde - 17 year old Leveille - First full season in CB MacIntyre - First season in CB Nosella - 19 year old fringe guy
Bishop - Here when Dumont got here Boucher - First season in CB Brunelle - 19 year old fringe guy Dubois - 16 year old rookie Farrell - Here when Dumont got here Hinds - Here for a few hours Lazarev - 18 year old Euro Martineau - First year in CB Pelletier - Drafted here when Dumont got here Simard - 18 year old Smith - Fringe Svechnikov - 18 year old rookie Euro Tower - First year in CB

We only have 1 player 19 or older that is a "star" player so lets try not to be so negative and see what happens with the trade deadline.
