When he drafted him, Drummondville's GM hyped him as the top player in the draft.
He hid him in a hotel room in Chicoutimi. lol.

Not a huge surprise now but Boucher confirmed Brassard is the goalie going to Moncton.

Not sure where you see that work ethic, he's playing with the 2 best forwards on the team for most of the last couple of weeks and has 1 point in 5 games while they have 8 and 9 in that span. He is maddening to watch float around and not compete. Leger has 3 more points and he's played mostly 4th line while Askew has been top 6 all but 1 or 2 games. Compared to what he showed in Sept and Oct ... I see a marked improvement in the effort he puts out. If you don't see an improvement then you are blind ... or just too much of a hater to acknowledge it. Leger has actually had almost as much time with Barbashev and Garland over the last month ... the two have flip-flopped in the role a few times. Askew is a bit awkward as a very tall kid at 17 ... just like Bruce Graham and Luke Pelham ... but as they aged and strengthened they became far more productive and valuable. I think we just need to give him time to grow into his body. Sweeney was also not too impressive at 17 ... but when he grew into his height he became a good Dman. The effort is there when it wasn't a month ago ... he is working hard ... showing flashes of real skill ... but still showing some clumsiness.

I hope it is nothing serious but if it is it changes everything. Serious knee injuries can and usually do take over a year for the person/player to get back to normal if they ever actually do. Probably nothing too severe though at least for his stake I hope not.

Donaghey is coming on the 19th. If a cats player injured him i doubt quebec adds anything to a deal already agreed upon and which players have changed hands...remember, those players are all part of the Burke-Tkachev deal...one trade not 3.

Dont players have to check out as healthy to trade. Dumb move to play him in the first place if traded in 3 games time.

I don't think that makes any difference ... if you play him you run the risk of injury. If he isn't healthy then the trade has to change. Perhaps the deal still happens but they now add a pick to the pile. We dealt for a healthy Donaghey ... not a gimp. He got hurt playing hockey ... doesn't matter who did it.

A player has to be healthy to be traded , does he not ? If he was in fact a player headed to Moncton on the 19th , the trade will need to be adjusted. Likely he now comes at the draft and the Wildcats will get someone else in the mean time. Maybe an Alex McQuaid ?
