It costs nothing asset wise to bring him in...maybe it lights a fire under Brassard...last year after the tarde to Victo he went on a tear... What does lighting a fire under Brassard do? Did you see the highlights from last night? It's not simply stable goaltending that we need. It's a complete fundamental change to how we approach playing the proper way. 1 average overage netminder doesn't do any of that for us so we might as well just keep the one we have unless we can find someone younger. Fundamental Change ?.....hmm.....sounds like that can only come about with a....... COACHING CHANGE !

I'm reading people talk about the Fucale trade and they're saying the 2016 Quebec 1st rounder should be high in the Veleno/McIsaac draft... am I wrong to expect that Quebec will be able to buy themselves out of the basement quick enough for that claim to be false?

Being able to find and sign players from the USA and Ontario like Moncton and Saint John has is certainly one way to speed up a rebuilding or stabilizing process. So I'm pretty sure that Quebec has the resources to do that also.

There's a couple ways of looking at that. Most will list Quebec and Moncton as teams who use their resources wisely and never end up bottoming out. Those same people would have listed Halifax before they bottomed out, though. Seeing as there's no benefit to them for finishing low I would expect Quebec to find a way to ice a .500 team. But that doesn't mean that it will all work out for them like that.

Looks like a very low price that Vanier was traded for, wouldn't have mind grabbing him.

Would have been a decent option next year as a 20 for us, doubt he makes the jump to the AHL.

So I'm pretty sure that Quebec has the resources to do that also. There are more teams doing that now though with many being English markets. Gatineau/Hull use to be, for the most part the only one, being so close to Ottawa. The USA is more recent as well and Quebec is not number 1 on that either. (Young was influence on both Moncton and SJ). Halifax had/has done lots of this since Russell took over. Money issue has tightened up as well, not so easy anymore.

It may not be so easy anymore but Moncton and Saint John found a way to do it and I would think that Quebec has deep pockets if the will is there.

Its more about the GM and hard work then just the pockets since I dont believe its cash doing it as much as opportunity.

Why did rimouski pick up a goalie they have derosiers??? Rimouski's GM told Le Soleil newspaper that Desrosier did not play as well as he expected in the first half. While he feels that Desrosier will bounce back in the second half, he wanted a more experienced goalie to go with him in their run for the Presidents Cup and, hopefully, the Memorial Cup.
