At least Ehlers isn't there tonight for Erne to run from behind- hope karma bites that prick in the ass!!! Aren't we being a little hard here... www.tampabay.com/sports/hockey/lightning/no-hard-feelings-between-lightning-prospects-jonathan-drouin-adam-erne/2187240Yeah it was a bad hit at the time and probably should have earned a suspension. Erne was not the ref. Erne was not the league that changed the play call from a suspendable major to a minor. Is he supposed to go to the league and say "suspend me 10 games" ? I love the hate just to get some competition tonight but these are different teams in a different season and without Drouin (or even Ehlers or Fucale tonight) I wish Erne was on our team. Thanks for the wisdom! I like the Stacy Roest comment.

Is anyone missing from the Remparts tonight due to the WJHC? Duclair. Everybody else is there. Erne is leaving this weekend. The Russians (Tkachev) arrive next week. Timashov didn't make Sweden's roster. Donaghey's injured. A new player makes his debut with Quebec, 17 yo defenseman Ross MacDougall. He was a 13th round pick but he was planning to go NCAA. Tkachev - Etchegary - Erne Timashov - Roy - Gauthier Carozza - Cuomo - Verrier Turcotte - Hébert - Moody Graves - McQuaid Brouillard - Maheux MacDougall - Dutra Brassard Booth MacDougall being showcased?

Moose SO win. Looks like we are going for it again. lol. Maybe Murphy just increased his value. Booth didn't play so he is definitely being traded for Fucale.

Booth played last night in Moncton.
Nice comeback. Sounded like both goalies played well; especially Brassard.

Both goalies did play well but Brassard has a great glove and stole at least 2 goals. He was the reason Quebec got a point.
I had forgotten how good Caven Fitzgerald can be. He took a couple of tripping calls which I think where the result of rust, but he let some good shots go and overall looked good. I like our young defense. Murphy and Hardie are definitely the anchor but Talfier, Ford and Fitzgerald all played well.
Murphy's first goal was a beautiful shot..wired top corner. When we had the goalie pulled the puck control was impressive.
Reesop was great in the shootout and Meier was smart enough not to go glove side on Brassard.
Fun game and I loved the band they had up on the stage. They stopped as soon as the hockey started and I think if we had them a few times they would be great for getting the fans going.
Quebec has a long way to go to prevent being eliminated early in the Q playoffs and go 0-3 at the Memorial Cup. Not a very impressive hockey team. Bent had them chasing shadows. There defense had trouble getting the puck out and except for Ernes speed no one stood out. Maybe getting Duclair back and a shitload of upgrades will change things but comparing that team to ValDor/Halifax/Saint John of the last three years..........they would lose in 4.

That was a fun night at the rink. The boys played their hearts out tonight and deserved the win. If there was a 4th star, it would go to the goal post, as it saved our bacon a few times tonight. But Resop played very well.
Always a fun game when Quebec and Halifax play each other. Seems like that rivalry is stronger than some rivalries in the Maritimes, even though they only play each other twice a season.

We beat Rimouski 8-2... point being one game does not necessarily give you a good indication of the strength of a team. They have lots of talent. I don't believe they are as strong as Halifax or Saint John were, but on paper they can win the President's Cup with their current roster.

Agree it was not a good showing by Quebec tonight. Very underwhelmed by Timashov. Really exciting comeback win. Game was dull for a while but, a win like that makes it easy to forget that stuff.
By the way, anyone still willing to trade Murphy for a 2017 first rounder straight up?

I agree I am just basing it on what I saw tonight, and they did play last night but I was not impressed at all. The Halifax team of 2 years ago or the Saint John Team before that would destroy them. That why selling is the way to go. I think Rimouski and it looks like Shawinigan or a few others are adding. I doubt Quebec gets in the final of the Presidents Cup maybe not even in the final 4. So you got to win it all to get there.

Having fun at the rink again, the boys stuck to their game tonight and fought back the officiating was horrendous as usual but that's to be expected in the Q. First the boys came out firing Quebec didn't have a shot on net till after the 10.00 minute mark; I really thought we were the better team tonight they got a few breaks. Second, is When Quebec got to restore their 2 goal lead just after we got to within one then the defence and Resop did a good job of holding them to their 3-1 lead. Third, didn't start out well but in the 3rd towards the end is when it got exciting Murphy got it to 3-2 with just under 5.00 minutes left, and then tied it with Resop on the bench for the extra attacker. OT was scary, as it started 3 on 3 with offsetting penalties to both teams; but the boys did a great job defending. Nice to win in the shootout at home, I don't think Quebec will be getting Duclair back my understanding is the Rangers loaned him to Canada. I'm not opposed to not making any big moves at the deadline, I'm fine with keeping Ehlers, Murphy, Fucale they are all invaluable to this team; we may not be a powerhouse like the last 2 teams but these boys won't quit. (Erne should be in Tampa Bay, this has to be his last season with Quebec he's fast and just too good for this league)

No definetly not better than Drouin, but I don't get why Tampa keeps sending him back he played well tonight and was dangerous all night I'm just not sure he has anything left to prove in junior same as Drouin last season. (We also jumped back to 3rd in the Maritime Divsion with Charlottetown's loss, and 11th overall 2 big games against Bathurst this week)

They send him back cuz it's nhl or junior for him and he's not good enough for nhl

After the 2nd when erne skated by our section he made the gesture 3-1 with a s*** eating smirk. And looked the other way as he on the way out.
