Some bad defensive play and we blow the tie in the last 5 minutes, rough.
Dubeau played a solid game for the cats, hes always tough to beat.

Defense remains very soft. They let the opposition cycle down low, they let them walk out from corners, Eagles need some grit, some nastiness on defense.

I actually did not find that a bad game although the result sucked.
There were a fair amount of defensive lapses in the 3rd , missed passes and a wasted PP opportunity off of the nasty hit from behind but the first two periods looked fairly solid to me.
Glad they went with Sullivan.
I think Deschamps? had a breakaway and was clearly hooked yet no call? Clear PS...

Likely not... but it was still a completely missed call.

Yeah it seemed like we forgot to pass the puck in the finals 4 minutes or so, just kept hitting skates. Wasn't a bad game overall, we win more games then we lose if we play the entire game like we did the first 20 minutes. Pretty funny dive by the Moncton guy for their 2nd PP, macintyre tries to skate threw him and he grabs his head and does a little ballerina in the air, was very surprised to see that he wasn't called for embellishment. Guessing Brassard starts tomorrow against his former team, that will be interesting

If anything it was a trip ... but the Ref judged that our guy (Stephen Johnson I think) touched the puck first. The Ref was right there on the play and pointed at the puck when it happened.

I know people say fighting is bad for Hockey and all but it would be nice to see a fight sometime this year. Seems like they're just skating up and down the ice sure there are hits but very few that are big ones now I understand we don't have many tough guys on the team maybe not any besides brunell but that have to do something to change the momentum when they are down. I sadly predict the remparts win today because they have solid offensive threats and a Brassard that can actually get a win.

I thought they hung well last night keeping a Moncton team with the second most goals for in the league to 25 shots and 3 goals. First one was bad luck and the third one they got caught in their zone at the end of a long shift on the power play. Overall great effort and they deserved better. Hoping Brassard is highly motivated after not starting 3 games in a row and playing against his former team.

We were down 2 top 6 forwards and lost a hard fought 1 goal game. It's a myth that fighting in hockey actually changes momentum. It's 2014 there's barely any fighting at any level but there's momentum swings in games on a constant basis. They happen anyway. Playing physical as a team goes much much farther then if Brunelle went all George Davis on a Moncton player. We need a bit more of a physical presence but it has nothing to do with dropping the gloves.
