With 2 games coming up against Cape Breton, it's not going to be easy. Playing the Screaming Eagles won't be the same as playing Rimouski and the Fog Devils.

I wouldn’t say playing the Devils was that easy, you didn't exactly win in an overly convincing fashion. Rim was an easy mark considering they are all injured but I guess in comparison to the Eagles at this point they are of a closer caliber to the Rocket.

I'm not saying that playing the Fog Devils was that easy and I thought that the Rocket were lucky to get that win over them. But at this point of the season, Cape Breton is a stronger team than the Fog Devils, the standings show that. The Rocket had a hard time aginst the Fog Devils and the win against the Oceanic didn't come easy for them either. I'm not trying to be disrespectful of the Fog Devils and the Oceanic, just saying that the Rocket will likely have a harder time against the Screaming Eagles based on the standings/records and of course the way the Rocket are playing right now.

I agree with you 100% the Eagles have out of nowhere taken this league by storm. Maybe they should change there names to another bird like the Phoenix has a poetic fit to this season.

My question would be what the hell were they doing in the basement? This team has alot of talent but have not shown this. What a terrible start to the season. The boys have got to get it together and start to play like a team and win games. It is the coaches responsibility to get the team ready for games and MOTIVATE the players. We have given Jean 2 years now to prove himself behind the bench and sad to say his report card is a big fat F. Time to dig deep and look at what the problem is, but I don't think they have to look far.

Personally I'm glad we're finally getting some wins and points and making some movement in the standings. Sure the wins have come against other teams that are struggling or not playing that well or have injury problems, but wins have to come from someone they may as well come from them. I don't care how we got the W just getting one is fine with me. Every goal could bounce off someone's ass as long as we have more than the other team. I'll take dirty, shouldn't have won but did, wins all season. Instead of nagging on and on about situations that likely are not going to change (ie. coaching, ice time) I'd rather focus on seeing the guys starting to give some glimmer of excitement slowly, but surely.
And here's a thought and this comes as a quote for Walker in the paper the other day where he said the coach has a good system, we have to start buying into it and making it work...simple as that.
Any coach can have a great system but if players don't use their ability to make it work...it won't.
Don't get me wrong I have some issues with how Jean runs the bench, but slowly he is warming up to the 3rd and 4th line guys and what they can bring to the game. Quite possibly the whole team can pull the plane out of the early tailspin and learn more about themselves and what it takes to come back from the brink than if they had gotten off to a fast start and ran into a rough patch further into the season. At least now hopefully if a rough patch comes around they will be able to deal with it better.
I agree the two with CB are big huge tests for the guys....they should keep this in mind that no team is unbeatable....the challenge is to find the way to beat them.
Go Rocket!!!

I'll take the wins too whether they are dirty wins or not, but for me I want to see them have a meaningful playoff run also. If the only wins they can get during the season are against injury-riddled teams, teams that are not playing well or wins that are because of flukey goals, that's not going to get them far come playoff time.
I'm sorry but we have had too many years of early playoff exits, why would I want more of them? I want to experience an exciting playoff run for the President's Cup, not a mediocre season and an even worse playoff. I can't speak for everyone, but from my perspective, people on here are "nagging" about changes because they care and they want to have a playoff winning team for a change.
It's great if some are able to enjoy if all the wins are against less talented or injured teams or they are lucky wins. But I want to also be able to enjoy exciting, intense hockey in April or May when playoff games are on the line and the team is able to make a run for the Presidents Cup.

Wingman - Have to start somewhere and if it's the so-called "weaker teams" or injury riddled, so be it.
Perhaps I was caught up in the euphoria of actually seeing the guys get a win or two...I do that....run on the emotion of it all instead of thinking with the head.
Nagging was a strong word to use...again chalk it up to not fully thinking through what I posted.

We just moved up to 5th, behind Saint John and Lewy, ahead of Moncton, St. John's, and Acadie-Bathurst.

Hey no prob!!....I think that in the end we all want the same thing and have the best interests of the team in mind, nothing wrong with wearing your emotions on your sleeve
