I think they are just saying your always trying to down play how bad this situation is right now james. Which is true. I don't care how young this team is, blowing lead after lead is not gaining "experience". Dumont needs to go, now! 90% of us are done with this joke. If they continue getting shitty results I think the board will at least highly consider axing him. Here is hoping... He survived four years in Val'd'Or I believe.

Remember. They traded Darcy. I don't think they hit any tonight. Seriously though, while debating with you on another post I was watching the game, and Mason MacDonald did make a couple of big saves just prior to Cape Breton falling apart. Big saves are the difference between having Mason McDonald and Miguel Sullivan lol (before anyone jumps to conclusion, that's a compliment to McDonald)

I believe it was JB that said you don't make a decision based on a unanimous vote by the fans. You say he needs to go now! but I don't buy it and I think it's very short sighted. There aren't any painfully obvious game changing coaches on the market right now let alone one that would go to a small market like CB (I'd effin love to be proved wrong on that and I'd enjoy the hell out of the crow as I ate it), the current assistant coaches aren't poised to be head coaches any time soon, anyone you bring in on an interim basis just hurts the pockets come the offseason when the big fish are available (CB needs every cent they can get to draw in an impact coach), and the team is young whether you care about it or not. The team being young is one of the main reasons why I'm not hitting a panic button. If it was next season with as many expiring players as CB will have and they were sitting in 17th place and the future looked bleak, I'm on that bandwagon calling for heads and throwing players under buses. It's this season though and I see many returning players, a lot with big upside, and a shit load of assets to add to this club. You can say I'm downplaying it but I think a lot of the reactions on here are extreme overreactions. It's not like I'm not surprised or not disappointed with the results this season but my expectations weren't as high as a lot of people so my surprise and disappointment isn't as extreme I guess. I've been able to enjoy 32 of the 36 games so far without hitting near the low of say 2010-11. I've been annoyed with a few things but nothing that would be solved by jumping on a bandwagon to chase another coach out of town.

I've been annoyed with a few things but nothing that would be solved by jumping on a bandwagon to chase another coach out of town. There's been zero progression and actually a lot of regression in terms of player development. Not 1(Brassard) not 2(Darcy) but 3(Pelletier) veterans have severely under performed based on expectations of past seasons. A majority(probably 90%+) of people who follow the CHL predicted major breakthroughs based on a strong core of 18's and the arrival of Svechnikov giving the team the type of dynamic forward it had not seen in years. The team has won 12 of 36 games and showed nothing resembling coming together as a unit. How can calling for the coach in that situation be extreme over reaction? We have posts from you arguing with me saying in October you wanted to wait until now before having an opinion on the direction. For 4 weeks now you claim to have been expecting it all along even though not 1 post we can find before November says that. Very convenient to take a stance based on hindsight, but everyone knows your deal now. In the franchises arguably worst season ever you claim 32 of 36 have met your expectations. You offer zero details(as usual) which explain why that is despite having a very accurate number. Your logic of only changing a coach is a big name replacement is ready to come in is so laughably silly it's no shock you never try to actually defend that stance when the debate ends with the point of there only needing to be 1 competent individual able to handle coaching and/or managing a team for a short period of time and experiences fans can probably have 5 names by noon tomorrow which would be more then suitable replacements to finish this season as a bridge to trying and show the players and fans that ownership is still paying any attention. This team is not near as young as you continue to say as the main hope for winning even after almost 4 awful and miserable hockey seasons still sit in the unknown of future draft picks. Despite all the talent we have now, we're lucky to even be near a playoff spot and you're preaching that we are right where we should be and calls for higher expectations are "extreme overreactions" and that you expected this BUT also somehow believe we can contend next year even without providing 1 tangible thought or thing you've seen that may, oh I don't know, back up your theory. I almost am starting to think you only come here to post and get a reaction. If someone else posted the crap that you did in that post about getting better next year your response would be full of arrogant comments like "Oh how do you think you get better next year after losing Farrell" and contain numerous 'lol's' and other childish filler that does nothing to show anyone here you have more then a childs grasp on this league and the sport in general. You love to post while saying nothing and attacking others opinions. At least they're willing to elaborate and have an adult discussion about it. You're still eating at the little kids table.

Eagles remind me a lot like the Islanders by times, they both have the same issues by times Young very talented but just can't get it together. A few weeks ago the Islanders went cold and were loosing games and could not get out of their own way they are on a 4 game winning streak right now and I really hope it keeps going but like the Islanders u will go through these games.
I mean the Eagles still have 39 pts in the bank to date a couple of wins are they are back up into 3-4 place. Frustrating at times as an Islanders fan trust me We know all about it.

Umm no junior the Eagles do not have 39 points in the bank.. they have 29 points.. they are 5 points back of the final playoff spot which is held by Gatineau who by all accounts are inexplicably buying to go for a run in Groulx's (hopefully) final season

Wow, if you want to be enlightened, read coach Dumont' comments in the Post about last nights game. I guess we were all wrong about the coaching, the terrible goaltending and poor defensive play, its the hockey Gods fault. What a crock of BS,allow six goals in the third period and blame it on the hockey Gods, who does he think he is kidding.Anyway Happy New Year to one and all.MAYBE the hockey Gods will smile on us in the new year(HaHa).

You love to post while saying nothing and attacking others opinions. At least they're willing to elaborate and have an adult discussion about it. You're still eating at the little kids table. "There's been zero progression and actually a lot of regression in terms of player development" That's the extreme overreaction. You base that quote on 3 guys having bad seasons, 2 of which are 20s and won't be back next year. What about Max Lazarev, Loik Leveille, Jason Bell, Brad Lalonde, Clark Bishop all returning players already putting up or poised to put up career highs and will be back next season? Not to mention P-L Dubois who leads 16 year olds in scoring so far this season and Svechnikov who has been really good when healthy. A majority of people who follow the CHL were wrong then, weren't they? I addressed why I think calling for the coaches head is a waste of time in the post you quoted. Nice to see you still can't correctly quote someone. That isn't what I said in October and I've proved that with quotes in previous threads, you just can't admit when you're wrong or use quotes to prove your point. You just misquote someone to make your argument seem better when in reality it wasn't said. "For 4 weeks now you claim to have been expecting it all along" "In the franchises arguably worst season ever you claim 32 of 36 have met your expectations" and in the post you're quoting I say "It's not like I'm not surprised or not disappointed with the results this season." Hell when I said 32 of 36 I was talking about the fact that I've seen 32 of the 36 games this season and you couldn't even understand that but I'm sure you'll continue misquoting me to make your points. Who are the 5 names? It's usually a great idea when the fans hire the coaches so go on and list em for the Eagles brass who come on here specifically to read your opinion. Ye you're right, the team is going to be screwed when they lose Brassard & Hinds and key 19 year olds that won't fill overage spots like Sullivan, Nosella, Brunelle, Smith! I'm not so sure you've followed as long as you say you have if you don't understand the bump you get when your teams key players get a year older and other teams actually lose a lot of key older players. Another misquote about my expectations. Why the hell would I take someone down for saying next year will be better when they'd be agreeing with me you illogical goof? I'd rather you resort to calling me a name than resorting to misquoting me to fit an argument, at least we'd be having the same conversation.

We can sit here all day and say this person is playing good and that person is doing great but at the end of the day it's a TEAM and not a select few players. All those players are playing good, no questions asked. I think Smith and Boucher have been having a good year in their roles as well. However if we look at this picture, the TEAM is sitting in 17th out of 18 teams currently .....
