Glad I am not the only one. People say its not good for next years team to have a losing mentality this year. But if Ehlers does not come back this team is going to need to find their own way to win. Easier to do that with a very high Midget and Euro pick. I don't think those people understand junior hockey. Todays champion is almost always yesterdays young player on an average or below average team.

Is it just me that does not really care if the Moose win. I would rather see them get a higher draft pick. Maybe I am shallow. I have mentioned it on here, but I think we will have to "live with" the fact that we're not going to be in the toilet this year, or next year. It basically hinges on Ehlers returning. If Ehlers returns, our team next year will be better than our team this year. But the year after that, we will be much worse. I am at peace with the fact that we're not going to tank this year, and probably not next year. Even though we'd love to tank and start this rebuilding process early, it isn't going to happen. So I'm hoping for us to win every game. It sounds like the high end of the 2015 draft isn't that strong, so there's no real sense in the Moose tanking to get a spot or two higher in the draft. Enjoy the talent we have and hope we can steal a round of the playoffs. Having a winning atmosphere will help our younger talent more than losing every game. Yeah thoughts of falling into a lottery pick seem remote at this point, given how we have continued to play. So far anyway, the rookie defense have been capable of holding their own and guys like Cavan and Nauss will be able to chip in offensively. We are still extremely top heavy with 1 line, but its a line nobody really shuts down at this point. Brassard and Resop have been fairly steady in goal. We will probably get killed on occasion, especially against top contenders, but should win a handful of games as well, keeping us out of the basement. We will take whatever picks we get this year and next, and make them work. Should Ehlers return next year, I would imagine he would be traded (assuming NTC isn't applicable and/or he OK's a move).

Coach Ducharme talked with John Moore last week about Ehlers forcing the puck to Timo too much....I witnessed that again in this game......Timo held his own pretty well while Nick was gone....I wonder if coach would ever split them up to make 2 strong lines and more teamwork/passing etc.......any thoughts?

I hope Halifax wins every game until the end of the playoffs.
