Well game is tomorrow so I thought I would start the game thread. New coach will be behind the bench tomorrow and I am going with a Rocket win. Now I know we didn't play great the other night against them and we only really won it because Gelinas was outstanding but I feel a win tomorrow, hope I am right anyway.

Gonna be a tough one, but i definitely hope the Rocket start the new "Era of Guy" on the right note or at least look good if CB comes out on top...this is poised to be one of the better games we've seen thus far in the season. I look forward to tomorrow night at the rink!

Wish it was another team coming in tomorrow. You can only kick a bee's nest once, these guys are likely pissed at sending that many shots our way for nothing.

It's about time Cape Breton starts to come back to the real world and the Rocket might as well be the team to start the journey !

A week or so ago I was thinking the two games against CB would be an indicator on whether or not the team has "turned the corner". Well this weeks changes have caused me to rethink that position. I see tomorrows game as a bit of a bench mark. Its game one for the new coach who has not had much time to influence things yet. This is the starting point against a pretty solid team who dominated us on the ice Sunday but not the score board.
CB is back in town in about a month on November 28th it will be interesting to see what difference a month has made. In order to do that I suggest that people post their observations on the game as always but when you post your observations on the November 28th game quote your post in this thread to create a direct comparison.
Might make for interesting reading and may show how things have progressed in a month from a number of different perspectives.

Not sure how this game will play out as it will take some time for Chouinard to put a system into place, and then it remains to be seen whether or not the players buy into it. Hopefully he can light a fire under these guy's asses, and have them ready to come out and set the tone of the game early (for a change) with some good skating, battling hard for the puck and throwing the body around. It remains to be seen whether or not the players will respond to Chouinard, but hopefully they will start it off on the right foot with a good win over Cape Breton.

Hoping for a good game. As was already said, Chouinard will need some time to put a system into place, and he's just getting to know the players and their "skills" as of now. I expect a Rockt win, with a couple fisticuffs.

I expect the team will want to try and shut CB down after the 56 shots last game. I hope Guy lets the guys loose and run a hard fore check tonight. I think I read somewhere that CB has 3 defense men out with injuries. If this is the case get the puck in and apply pressure. If they sit back and let CB bring the puck out at their own pace they'll be all over us again.
If we fore check hard Rocket win 4 - 2.

On the positive side, although they lost, it was still a good game. Haddad did what he wanted to do, score against his former team and...try to go into his old box .
