Your conspiracy theories don't work when you use facts. The game Svechnikov got suspended for 3, Boutet from BC got 5 games, CHevrier got 3 games and Ambrozheicik got 2 games. Thats your reason it does not work? Why not there was no good video angle to give Francis more than 2 games? This was just an effort at making fun of a system that some days seems to have no logic. They had video Erne on Drouin and Erne got nothing - I still have seen no video to help the league even come up with a reason for 2 games on Francis....just saying. They totally just agreed with whatever refs told them - this time! I just find those theories funny and senseless. It's more inconsistency. BC fans are even more vocal about suspensions and saying the league forced them to trade McKinnon because Halifax wanted him. VD fans said the same thing before. CB fans also. Some Moncton fans too. Everyone who get the short end of the stick uses the "world's against me". You don't know which video angles the league had to make their decision on Francis. When they show the videos for their decisions, they often have other angles we have not seen.

It is all about inconsistency, and every team has been on the short end of the stick at one time or another. About Bent: Bent is the type of player that everyone hates when he's not on your team. He's a pest... a "rat" if you will. He plays that type of game that even trolls opposing fans. Drives everyone nuts. You can call his play cowardly and a disgrace to the game. But if it's effective, and until the league starts giving out 10-minute misconducts for some of his actions, it's going to continue. Every team has had a player like Bent at one point or another. He'll be out of the league next year, and the next "Bent" will come along. Halifax doesn't exactly have an abundance of young forward talent. So pluggers are going to be used. Bent is a plugger who can score the occasional goal, and troll the occasional player/fan.

The problem is that the Mooseheads more often than not get the short end of the stick i) Ashley's suspension against PEI in 2012 then Sorenson does basically the same thing and gets no suspension. ii) Critchow suspension in 2012 playoffs... complete horseshit. iii) Lewis suspension causing him to miss deciding game in 2013... yeah Halifax won but complete bullshit. iv) Erne not getting suspended whatsoever for injuring Drouin last year. There are many more that I could go over but lack of time right now... I challenge anybody to come out with anything where the Mooseheads actually got away with something suspension related where a Mooseheads player got off without suspension or got less than he should have based upon precedent or an offending player got more than they should have...

Again every team can list examples like that.

Ashley deserved to be suspended ... Sorenson did not. Critchlow pulled the guys helmet off ... clear violation and clearly laid out in the rules. I don't recall the Lewis incident. Erne deserved a penalty for the hit ... but not a suspension ... it was a soft hit and Drouin got hurt. Not going to rehash these incidents ... there are hundred page long threads on each of them. I remember a number of years back when Halifax and Moncton met in the playoffs ... Abeltshauser (sp ?) hit Delisle-Houde in the head along the boards ... Flynn sent in the video ... no suspension. There you go ... I took the challenge. Now ... you can say that no suspension was justified on the hit on Deleisle-Houde ... that is your opinion ... just like it is my opinion on the incidents you brought forward above. We aren't the ones that decide the outcomes of these events and all we can offer is opinion. You as a Moose fan will always feel that you are wronged by the Q when a suspension is assessed against you, or no suspension is assessed against an opponent ... because you are a homer ... most of us are. Everybody on this board is starting to sound like CHSB ... feeling the Q and the Refs are always against them. Why would they be ?

Were not thanks in Halifax he is a good penalty killer, at least Bent has the guts to defend his teammate who is nailed from behind.(if the Q had any class the hit would have been 4-5 games like everyone was expecting, not the same amount of games Bent got the Q is run by a bunch of people that don't have a sweet clue and the refs are incompetent night in and night out the tandem that did Wed night's game are 2 of the worst in the league and I'm not the only one saying that.) The board meeting to decide discipline somewhere in a back room in Quebec City went something like this: (translated to English) "OK need to decide the penalty for the Halifax player and the Bathurst player..both guy got 5 and a game" "Well which one is the Quebec team?" " Both Halifax and Bathurst is Maritime team" "Oh then it easy - where is the wheel?" "Sir the wheel... Spinnning and it land on two...two game" "Give the Halifax player 2 game" "Um he didnt hit anyone u want to see the video" "No my poutine is geting cold. Lets just give the other guy 2 game too. Then nobody can say we were not fair" " Now in that game Cape Breton and Baie Comeau look at the chart and it 4 game for Cape Breton player and 0 game for Baie Comeau player. It always easier when a team from Quebec" "OK now lets go to lunch. See you next week." at least come up with your own material...... Down Goes Brown already used the spinning wheel years ago

It is pretty obvious the bias these dickturds such as Piccott has for Ehlers when he can basically be bearhugged in the middle of the rink like he was last week against Bathurst and no penalty gets called.

That's the danger in embarrassing the officials with the constant diving. As much as the coach has to defend his star player, he also has to know that creating an us vs them mentality with his team vs the on ice officials can not end well for his team.

Convinced the world is out to screw over their hockey team. I've never seen many well officiated Q games in 15 years of following the league. Consistently mediocre for both teams is what i've come to expect. Watching 6 different Maritime fan bases mention the bias after every game of questionable incident just becomes frustrating as it's clearly the same in every rink and every team is affected by it. But would any of us WANT to be a ref in this league at the same time? I feel bad for them as I get older.

I understand. Conor Garland gets hit in the head 3 or 4 times a game and might draw one call. Garland yaps at the Ref so they don't cut him any slack. Ehlers dives so they don't cut him any slack. If you stop being a dick on the ice then the Refs will be on your side more often. I know that seems wrong ... like the Refs are rigging the game ... but they don't call everything because it ruins the entertainment value of the game ... they let some stuff go. So if they are letting stuff go, it is going to be against the guys that piss them off, more often that not. Crosby faced it also in the Q ... and then in the NHL in his first few years. Now he keeps his whining to a minimum and gets more respect from the Refs. Don't make the Refs look bad ... don't make them hate you ... and you'll draw more calls.

Garland gets the same treatment. He isn't a diver though ... just a whiner. He might have one diving call this year.

Less diving than Ehlers. Less whining from Wildcat fans. He does get targetted every game too. Refs can't call penalties everytime they touch him.

If you watched him in your home team jersey for 34 games you'd probably say that he is getting a lot of the same treatment, just much less publicized.
