For sure. 15/16 is the year.
I would keep Dubois though. I still will not move him for 19's.

Joey Ratelle is a guy who's worth a high pick. Just remembered him. Not sure what Val-d'Or's plan is next year but if any of their 96's are available i'd pay a lot for them too.

Two more 20's as well if they do not keep one of the goalies. Gosselin a lock for next year.

Ratelle may well cost you 2 high end assets plus. Possibly one of the top 19 F available and won't be cheap. If Oliver Cooper cost two 1sts he'll cost at least that. Richard and Aube-Kubel likely in the same ballpark in terms of cost.

I think you need to look around the league at contending teams this year and years past and check out their 20 year old situation. I think you may change your opinion on keeping Gosselin and Belanger.

Moncton: Taylor Burke, Dominic Talbot-Tassi and Alex Dubeau Not exactly a juggernaut overager squad, Gosselin will easily be as good as Talbot-Tassi is next year (if hes not already better this year) Now Belanger I'm not so sure of, just because I'm not a fan of 20 year old goalies personally.

Can't argue with that, I think you need at minimum 2 high impact 20's, not sure Gosselin will be that next year, but you never know with how some players have ridiculous 20 year old seasons compared to their 19 year old seasons. Loiseau from 1 PPG, to 1.35 PPG, around the same jump with Clapperton. Martel with a massive jump from under 1 PPG to 1.63 PPG, same thing with Jevelapovs.

Hoping Chicoutimi stays in 16th so we can trade that pick at the draft + probably some 3rd's for whatever forward is the "top target" next year. Who's available that's worth a top 3 pick + 3rds though? I can't really think of anyone. That would be a huge price to pay, especially if it's a 1 year player. If we could pick up another Dubois, I wouldn't give up that pick. We have our own pick that could be 5th or 6th and another 1st depending on O'Leary. That sort of deal(top 3 pick for a veteran) would have to be massive I think and fill multiple holes. If we're sold on moving those picks for a 2016 playoff run, then moving down and acquiring more assets might be our best bet. Get to Xmas with a healthy roster and all those kids drafted then see what holes need to be filled through trade. Lots of options for Dumont with those 2 top 6 or 7 picks. And maybe another 1st for O'Leary.

Leave Anderson and Farrell together . You gave up Pelletier for a Goalie for 3 months ?

Leave Anderson and Farrell together . You gave up Pelletier for a Goalie for 3 months ? Looking at what we paid for Brassard at the draft Belanger would hold similar value so it's not a wasted asset. Hopefully he can get some games in and be ready for the playoffs where he has the chance to remove any doubt to who will be our #1 going into next season. I have no issue with 20yr old goalies on a contender, personally.
