Wow.. the boys need to pick it up! D is off so bad. We had Gel start and Cliche was off! Two things we need to happen every game and yet we still lost. There's something very wrong with the boys lately.. Like they all need a big friggin like, pick me up. It's pretty sad. It's like they're all in on something and won't tell us what.[/quote0] I disagree. The D looked fine to me. It was the forwards that were having most of the problems. There were a number of good scoring chances that were passed by because the passing was not connecting or a forward was surprised to see an open net in front of him and could not get his stick on the puck to shoot it fast enough to take advantage of things! The forwards were trying to execute some intersting and complex plays, but the timing seemed a little off. I bet in another month or two things will look better.

I have to say I was surprised by Lessard and Gervais on Defense..they both made many mistakes and did not look like they should be captains on the team, by the way they played. I like the way Latal plays...seems to always have good speed and energy. Morrisson played well when he wanted to , but seem to give up easily. I think you guys wasted a 20 year old spot with Gallant this year. He was trying to find someone to fight him all weekend and had to resort to spearing and slashing to try to get someone to respond and then to top it off he throws his helmet in the hallway and almost takes out a fan and a little child...stupid! It seems as he will have a hard time this year to try and find a dance partner as Cormier did last year. Not too many heavyweights in this divison at all unfortunately. The fight he had with Chinova carried over from the end of last game, as Gallant speared him in the leg at the end of the game to try and get him to fight. Was not much of a fight as Chinova just hung on for dear life.

I disagree. The D looked fine to me. We're still talking about the same team here right, the PEI Rocket?

I watched the D fairly closely, and they did a pretty good job in my book. Killing a 5 minute penalty is not that easy. I think there was a lot of talent out there. But you need time for the offense to buy into the coach's game plan. It is not going to happen overnight. I saw some good plays being set up out there, but the timing was just a little off. Lets have this conversation again in mid December, and I think you will see what I mean by then.
