Highlights are on the Q site if you want to see them. theqmjhl.ca/Neither goal was Brassard's fault. We had a couple nice ones in there as well.

I haven't been on Moosetalk for some time, and I hate to say I know why.
The Moose blue-collared a win tonight and all I am reading about here is some crap about who said what, who is calling who out for saying it, and so on.
This is the playoffs for God's sake. Can't we e-chat about the game?
Thanks Reesor, and a few others, for trying to keep the topic on THE GAME.

I agree with you Nibs 100% !! All the whining and arguing about who said what about Fucale. The moose got off to a great start in Game 1, but have fallen behind in the second game 2-0 !

I can see this series going a long 7 games. Expecting at least one exhausting OT game at Forum.

Just to refresh memory, this will certainly not be the first playoff game at the forum. Versus Bathurst to win the series aagh, mmm, 2002? Now that was epic!
Why refresh memories? You said you wanted an exhausting game. Hell every rat in the rink was scurrying for harbourside refuge that night.
Get the same result and we'll all be happy. No reason they shouldn't get this round. Granted they will have to work their asses off, but they are not in over their heads.

We were a top team, and the other top teams were in our division/conference. Game 7 of Round 2 was at the forum vs Bathurst. Benedict scored the winner in a 4-0 win. Then played BC in a 7 game series. Won game 7 7-1 in BC. Ran out of gas in the final against Hull.

The point was about wanting an exhausting game, and I can't think of one where the fans made more noise and became a part of the outcome. Even with tickets, fans lined up down, and around, Young Street. I was in that line about 2 hours before game time. We had a great team that year, but so did Hull. Just as a wild ass guess I would suggest at least half of the players went on to play at a higher level in the pro's (AHL and NHL), and the cream of the crop was Alex Picard and Milan Jurcina. I digress.

That was a frustrating year. Huge upset over the Drakkar in the semis then upset but the Olympiques in the final. Damn Talbot.

Of players who played at least half the playoff games for the Moose that season, only Cyr, Kent, Upshall, Clarke and Late Season addition Richie MacDonald didn't play at least one professional game after their Q days were over. Ten players (Vrana, Benedict, Bernier, Picard, Jurcina, Villeneuve, Sharrow, Cabana, Davis and Boutin) got into at least one AHL game. Only Vrana, Picard and Jurcina got a taste of the big show. While Hull had easily the most effective NHLer (Talbot), they had only three others: Philippe Dupuis (116 GP), Doug O'Brien (5GP) and Francis Wathier (10GP). Daoust, Brunelle, and Roberts were the only other three to play AHL. Most others didn't play pro at all.
