Don't care what the 'facts' are. In all honesty unless you're willing to ditch an anonymous internet handle and put your own name behind it there should never be any talk of what players are doing away from the rink and their social habits. Even then it's still not something that should happen, but at least you can tell them who the slander charges should be filed against if you happen to be wrong.
As for where the problems lie...the team in a way is only now that this season is finished, completely over the atrocious 2011 draft that was the height of embarrassment for the franchise in hindsight. That drafts best players are now 19 and 20 which were perhaps the biggest weaknesses and signs of mismanagement we had this year.
You can trace that entire debacle right back to being bad enough to pick #1 and draft Roy. The year before that we finished 3rd last and picked Bishop and Lazarev very high in their drafts. The Roy trade netted us Leveille, Dubois, a 2nd we used for Deschamps, O'Leary, and the 4th overall pick this year. Outside of those assets and Svechnikov, our drafting and development has not been very good. You're supposed to get great assets picking 3rd and 1sts in drafts but who did we find in rounds 2 through 6 in those drafts? That's where you need to find the heart and soul kids who will become your leadership core which ends up being almost as important as the talent and skill you find high in the draft. Trading has been average, but due to being bad we've had a lot of good assets to move and have hit home runs on some and struck out on some others meaning we're not quite as far ahead as we should be or we would still be playing this year.
Players like Dubois, Boucher and Tower show signs that the current regime is getting back to the right kind of player in terms of how they play. The goaltending situation tells you there's still something lacking in terms of how the team plays and is managed because 3 different veteran goaltenders combined with the amount of 20's we seen this year says there's something wrong with the system and thats on the coach.
