Amazing result. Of course this is surprising, and of course we should be ecstatic - but at the same time, Moncton can easily come here and win two, especially considering what we just did. Winning one of the next two at home is key. Great effort by these guys right now. yeah but it means we get to watch 4 and probably 5 more games.. either this series or in the next we will still be watching this team beyond next Sunday - truly is taking it one game at a time...perhaps Moncton thought they could dust us off and move on (Moncton clearly not prepared while Dom's coaching experience at this time of year is shining through right now)

This Gerry Green is an awful play by play guy. Exaggerate every word. I would love to know the average shift length for Garland and Barbashev I have to give credit to the person who called the play by play guy Don Knotts. Actually laughed out loud when he got excited and sounded like Mr Furley. All that was missing was the karate chops. Thank you I thought it was just me. Makes you want to go watch some "3's Company"lol

Only negative would be injuries so far, hope they are minor. Leblanc, Hunter and Gadoury are all listed as day-to-day with upper-body injuries.

WTG Moose, was out so just following on twittter glad to see your coming home up a pair have to keep doing what we are doing, Go Moose Go I can not wait for Tues now the Scotiabank center is gonna be loud; Let's giving them a warm welcome home they deserve it. I'm also very pleased to see that the Secondary scoring is coming, I hope Hunter, Leblanc, Gads aren't out too long but others will just have to step up, I'm scared to think we haven't even played our best game yet. Cinderella Sens are in the post-season, are we watching the Cinderalla Mooseheads who just relish being underdogs.

Moose seem to be peaking and coming together at the right time. The guys are playing loose, no pressure. To finally have some secondary scoring, to go with Ehlers, Meier, Moynihan and Gadoury (hope to god he doesn't miss any time), and Brassard in goal, is huge. Fortier is playing with confidence, Shewfelt and Watt have been playing great. We're a different team if depth guys contribute.
I knew the Shawinigan series would be close, but I honestly didn't think we'd beat them. To win Game 7 on the road, and turn around and take BOTH games on the road, against the 2nd seed, never thought possible.
No doubt those weren't the Wildcats' best two games, but still, I've seen this group play a lot, and they're playing well, best hockey of the year. Getting two more wins will be tough, but we're in the driver's seat now.

We saw signs glimpses of this from time to time when not expected in the season. The last game at Moncton the last Friday of the year the Mooseheads lost 3-0 but it was 0-0 until the 3rd period. The Mooseheads had guys missing like Gadoury. They had Brassard in goal. It may have been when he found his game after the long injury.
Why is that important? It gave the Mooseheads confidence they could hang with the Wildcats in there. Remember that day the Wildcats still had a chance to catch Rimouski for first. The Cats gave up their first place ambitions the next night vs Charlottetown in a bad game for them and then rested everyone the last game.
So what is the Mooseheads record now including playoffs with Brassard in goal? The period all the young D players were initiated was mostly when they had Resop in goal so this team may be just finding itself at the right time. The goal differential must be better with Brassard by quite a bit.
One other thing about the Cats. They did not have a good finish that last weekend, in particular the 6-5 ? Loss at home to Moncton. That they even lost a home game to Chicoutimi is baffling. They won all their road games (on Olympic size ice mind you). They have to be spooked by their own defensve play. But certainly they can win two games in Halifax if the Dom does not have our guys ready. I think we need to look back at our Val d'or series last year to know that.

So what is the Mooseheads record now including playoffs with Brassard in goal? Brassard was 4-2 in starts before he was injured, and 1-3 in starts when he returned. 5-5 record in the regular season, and 6-3 in the playoffs. theqmjhl.ca/players/11946/00Fatigue could be setting in for Dubeau. He's appeared in 58 of Moncton's 68 games in the regular season, and all 9 of course in the playoffs. Brassard appeared in 28 regular season games and all 9 in the playoffs. Fucale had the same workload for us, but I won't go there.

Just over 100 lower bowl tickets left for Game 3 at Scotiabank Centre. Should be a great crowd on Tuesday.
