I find Belanger is not a starting goalie in the league. In the playoffs he plays gets blowin out, Sullivan plays and loses 3-1, Belanger goes back in and gets blowen again. We need a coach who can handle good goalies, Dumont has let Chase Marchand, Zac Fortin (because he traded for Brassard) and now he'll end up letting Sullivan go Belanger won an elimination game in Quebec City in overtime. That trumps losing 3-1 at home in a much much tighter game then either 6-5 decision. It's easier to win a game if you need to score four goals instead of having to score six every game.

It's easier to win a game if you need to score four goals instead of having to score six every game. And it's harder to make a save when your team is playing pond hockey. We can go on about this all night. Fact is Sullivan is career QMJHL backup who had a hot 2-3 weeks of an entire season and still inspired zero confidence in the coaches who were around him every single day and who had no bias toward or against him as the teams success is what drives their decisions. Really not worth the constant debate people want to have on this topic. If the team played anything close to a well coached system we don't have ANY of these goaltending issues. Our team and goaltenders proved that this season. Brassard was the same goalie in Gatineau that he was here so why was he more successful?

Imo Belanger is fine and definitely better than Sullivan. If we have to relook at the goalie situation at Xmas so be it. I would rather spend assets elsewhere and have Duggan and Colby Muise battle for the backup position

I think we are a few impact players away from a good run. I think our D is fundamentally sound maybe a Deschamps gets moved but we have a great core no question and some assests like a Lalonde and Beaudin who may be on the block to aquire along with a pick a few players Some players i think with our draft picks and roster players like the one's mentioned above i would like to target would be a Smallman and Dove-McFalls. Dany Moynihan, Storto and Deluca would cost more but we need a few proven assests up front. Not opposed to unloading Tower either. The two Russians along with Bishop and Dubois are solid 4 after that we drop pretty far on the food chain

Darcy trade futures Sherbrooke to Cape Breton Rd_2, 2017 Cape Breton to Sherbrooke Rd_4, 2017 (She) Given the circumstances .....not bad eh ? The 30 or so games he played here changed his value from a 1st and 2nd to a 2nd. Not bad considering the player he was here in 14-15. Bad considering the player he was in 13-14.

That did not turn out too bad at all. Was the condition based on pts he put up or Sherbrooke's success as a team?
The Andersen one seems fair as well.

If the Sea Dogs are trying hard for our #4, does that mean Bathurst has pulled their #2 off the table? I would seriously consider it if the deal included MacDove-Falls,Smallman and picks 8 and 9.

If Shane Bowers is still available at #4, I would be surprised if there is not a trade made with Saint John. I would not trade him for less than the 9 & 10 picks plus 2 forwards, one of which should be an 18y/o. I think he is that good a player to demand that. The only problem is that our need for 3rd and 4th line depth, combined with the keen negotiating skills of Saint John, I'm somewhat doubtful we get that. Also, with this team contending for a championship, you would think we would have scouts capable of obtaining at least one quality bottom six forward via free agency. What else can one say about the Saint John administration, other than outstanding.
